Florida Speaking Tour a Great Success
Jan 28th
During the past two weeks, Rhonda and this editor have driven nearly 2,500 miles, slept in 12 different beds, delivered seven seminars and taped two television programs.
We left our home in the Villages of Hallelujah Acres on January 13th and drove to Tallahassee where we held our first seminar on the 14th. From there we drove to Tampa where on the 15th I videotaped two programs for future viewing on the Homekeepers show with Arthelene Rippy. On Saturday morning the 16th we had our largest attendance of the tour in Tampa. Then on Sunday afternoon the 17th we did a seminar in Naples.
Since our next seminar was not until Thursday evening the 21st, we took a little side trip to Key West, Florida where we enjoyed a couple of days of R&R. It was nice to take a break and it really seemed strange not having to do something or go someplace for a few days. It is rare that we get a break like this.
On Thursday evening the 21st a seminar in Plantation, Florida had in attendance Ellie Pagan, the wife of General Pagan, who is in charge of all military operations in Haiti. I learned that they have been married for 32 years and General Pagan has been in the military for 30 of those 32 years. Mrs. Pagan has a juicer and is excited about implementing the Hallelujah Diet and Lifestyle.
Saturday, the 23rd I delivered my God’s Way to Ultimate Health seminar in Kissimmee, Florida and then drove to Daytona where I spoke that evening. Sunday morning we drove to Jacksonville for an afternoon seminar and then drove about half of the way home before getting a motel, and then finished the trip home Monday morning.
It was so good to be home, but then waiting for me was the need to have this Health Tip completed quickly. I usually have it ready to deliver to our staff for tweaking and mailing on Monday, but here I am just finishing it up on Tuesday morning. I had fortunately written most of the feature article while in Key West during those days of R&R.
Rhonda and I are doing well and no worse for wear after nearly two weeks on the road. I can’t believe I am still able to maintain such a vigorous schedule at soon-to-be 76 years old, but then realize I’m on The Hallelujah Diet.
Examining Weight Loss Diets – Which One Is the Best
Jan 26th
For the past three weeks, we have been taking a look at a health problem being experienced by an ever-increasing number of Americans – the problem of Overweight and Obesity, along with an expanding waistline. Previously, we have dealt with the problem, the cause and the solution.
In this Health Tip, I want to evaluate some of the weight loss programs available today, and then rate them according to their ability to produce weight loss, and ALSO evaluate whether adopting this or that diet will improve overall health – or rather cause further deterioration of the health of the individual following that weight loss program.
Before we begin, I want to establish some fundamental truths that will become the basis for the evaluation, and against which we will evaluate each of the various weight loss plans:
- Our physical body is a living organism, comprised of living cells.
- These living cells were designed by God to be nourished with living (raw) food. (See Genesis 1:29)
- All cooked food is dead food, and dead food is incapable of providing proper nourishment for a living organism.
- Animal source foods are not only dead foods (almost always cooked), but they are also devoid of fiber. In addition, they are loaded with fat, and if commercially grown also loaded with growth hormones and antibiotics
Using the above foundational truths as the basis, we will now evaluate a number of the more popular weight loss diet programs, and see first of all how efficient they are at reducing weight. But in addition, we also want to evaluate each of them to see how well they meet the nutritional needs of the individual following that diet, and thus the diets ability to improve or harm the health of the individual.
Below are criteria by which we will evaluate and rate each diet:
- Weight loss programs which effectively help people lose weight will be given a 5-star rating. (The more effective the diet in bringing about weight loss, will determine the number of stars. A 1-Star rating being the diet producing the poorest results and a 5-Star rating being the most effective.)
- We will also rate each program according to whether that particular diet will improve not only the overweight condition, but its ability to improve the health of the individual. (This rating will range from a PLUS-5 Star rating for those diets that actually improve the health of those following a particular diet to a MINUS 5 rating for those diets that are most likely to create even more physical problems.)
The Atkins Diet by Robert Atkins
The Atkins Diet receives a 4-star rating for weight loss, and a minus-5 rating for the diet’s ability to improve the health of the individual following it. The diet is predominantly a cooked (dead) food diet, loaded with animal flesh and animal fat. This diet is based on ketosis, meaning that the body literally feeds on itself, because there are not sufficient carbohydrates in the diet to meet the body’s nutritional needs. Many will experience almost immediate weight loss on this program but the long term potential for doing the body harm is huge. (Though Dr. Atkins died several years ago obese and with a heart problem, his books are still available and people are still following the diet.)
Eat Right For Your Type by Peter D’adamo & Catherine Whitney
This diet receives a 3-STAR rating for its ability to reduce weight, and a MINUS-2 to a MINUS-5 rating for its ability to improve the health of the individual following the diet. This is a predominantly cooked food (dead food) diet, and for those with a blood Type O, Type B, or Type AB, the diet is loaded with animal products similar to the Atkins’ Diet. This diet claims that “Your blood type determines your diet, supplements, and personality because it is ‘the key to your body’s entire immune system.’” This diet is based on the evolutionary history of the family, whether ancestors were hunters or farmers.
The South Beach Diet by Arthur Agatston
This diet receives a 3-STAR rating for weight loss, and a MINUS-2 rating for its ability to improve an individual’s health. The South Beach Diet is also a predominantly cooked (dead) food diet. In the first phase of the South Beach diet, which lasts for two weeks, a person eats normal-sized helpings of lean meats, such as chicken, turkey, fish, and shellfish. Vegetables are also allowed, along with nuts, cheese, and eggs. Coffee and tea are OK, and lots of water is required. This diet, in its initial stages, eliminates carbohydrates, thus the diet would most likely throw the body into ketosis to create weight loss, similar to the Atkins’ diet.
The Zone Diet by Barry Sears
This diet receives a 3-STAR rating for its weight reducing abilities and a MINUS-2 rating for its ability to improve the health of the individual following the diet. This is a predominantly cooked (dead food) diet, which also includes lots of animal source foods. To its credit, it does eliminate fatty meats, full-fat dairy, butter, and shortening, while encouraging fruits, most vegetables, and nuts. This diet claims that eating the right mixes of fats, carbs, and protein keeps a person trim and healthy by lowering insulin.
Eat More Weigh Less by Dean Ornish
This diet receives a 2-STAR rating for weight loss, and a PLUS-1 star for its ability to improve health. The diet eliminates almost all animal products, but does allow some low or non-fat dairy, while featuring beans, fruits, veggies, and grains. Dr. Ornish has proven that his diet works when combined with exercise and stress reduction in a long-term study. Even though this is a predominantly vegetarian diet, it consists primarily of cooked (dead) food, it does eliminate most animal products, thus allowing a PLUS 1 rating for its ability to improve health.
The Mcdougal Plan by John Mcdougall, M.D.
This plan receives a 3-STAR rating for weight loss, and a PLUS-2 star rating for its ability to improve health. The diet eliminates all animal source foods and refined foods, while allowing unlimited amounts of fruits, vegetables, complex carbohydrates, seeds, and nuts. Dr. McDougall has been promoting this diet for over 20 years with great success. However, we must limit our ratings for weight loss and its ability to improve the health of the individual because it is a predominantly cooked (dead food) vegan diet.
Eat To Live by Joel Fuhrman, M.D.
This diet receives a 5-STAR rating for weight loss, and a PLUS-4 rating for its ability to improve health. Here is a medical doctor who treats over 5,000 patients a year with a predominantly raw, vegan diet. And what kind of results does Dr. Fuhrman see in those who adopt his diet. Almost every person who adopts his pure, mostly raw, vegan diet sees their weight normalize, while usually seeing most of their physical problems disappear. Of all the diets available to the American public today, this one comes closest to giving the results provided by The Hallelujah Diet. However, this diet does not emphasize the use of raw vegetable juices as does The Hallelujah Diet.
The Hallelujah Diet by Rev. George Malkmus
The Hallelujah Diet is the only diet being promoted today that receives both a 5-STAR rating for weight loss, and a PLUS-5 rating for its ability to improve health. This diet has been followed by millions from around the world over the past 18 years, and produced such outstanding results, that it has motivated tens-of-thousands to write Rev. Malkmus to tell of not only the diets ability to reduce weight, but also eliminate physical problems.
This diet is a predominantly raw 100% vegan (plant based) diet, which includes an abundance of freshly extracted raw vegetable juices, along with a raw barley/alfalfa juice powder. This diet also excludes all animal source foods, all refined sugar, along with all refined carbohydrates and even eliminates table salt and caffeine. Some of the outstanding testimonies of weight loss include a 206 pound weight loss in 10 months and in just six months a 60-pound weight loss and the disappearance of 28 different physical problems.
The Genesis 1:29 Diet by God
God, the Creator of that first human, Adam, gave this Genesis 1:29 diet to him in the Garden of Eden, immediately after creating him. If anyone should know what proper nourishment for the human physical body should be, shouldn’t it be the Creator of that body? So if we want to find the best diet for today, the diet that will produce the best results for human health, should we not look to that diet and compare all other diets against it.
So let’s analyze the Genesis 1:29 diet and see just what it is comprised of. And upon a quick read you will see the diet was a simple one, comprised of one hundred percent raw plant sourced foods! You may ask, “How do you know that God intended these plant foods to be consumed raw?”
Well, and I believe you will agree with me, there was no means of cooking anything in the Garden of Eden because fire had not as yet been discovered, and besides, even to this current day, every animal in the wild eats its food in its raw natural state as served up by nature. Only man takes that which God provides in nature in its raw form and before he puts it into his mouth puts it on a fire and cooks it, destroying its life force (enzymes) as well as a high percentage of its nutrients.
So now let’s go back through all of the Weight Loss Diets listed above, as well as any other weight loss diet available today that is not evaluated above, and compare them against God’s Genesis 1:29 diet and you tell me which of the diets comes closest to matching that diet God the Creator gave to that first human Adam. And if that Genesis 1:29 diet was God’s perfect plan for the nourishing of Adams body, don’t you think it would also be God’s perfect plan for nourishing our bodies today?
Testimony
Testimonies of others who have succeeded in losing weight and improving their health can sometimes be a motivator and encouragement. Here is a testimony that will hopefully encourage you to try for the first time or continue on if already on the Hallelujah Diet and Lifestyle:
“Hi George, I was introduced to The Hallelujah Diet and Lifestyle in November of 2000. I vowed to give the diet a try for 30-days just to cleanse my system, because I just couldn’t see myself staying on The Hallelujah Diet forever. I weighed 320 pounds at the time. I had pain in my legs, hips, and back, and had absolutely no energy. I also had carpel tunnel syndrome.
I started on the Hallelujah Acres Diet program in January of 2001. My family was very skeptical, because I had been on so many programs, and this one was so radical. However, by the grace of God, I was able to go on the diet ‘cold turkey,’ and make it through the first month without any problems.
By the end of the first month I felt so good I was able to walk the mall without having to sit down and rest. Anyway, within a month I was able to start exercising and moving again.
So far I have lost 164 pounds and now weigh 156 pounds. I have a whole new life. Thank you for all you do at Hallelujah Acres. The Hallelujah Diet and Lifestyle literally saved my life! God bless you!”

60-Day Challenge Continues to Grow
Jan 26th
We’re almost half way through 60 Days to a Hallelujah Waistline and we continue to see folks just like you sign up to lose weight and get healthy. As of today, there are over 6,500 people registered for this program!
Friends, this is just the beginning. We started this challenge because we firmly believe that once you see how good you feel on the Hallelujah Diet, you won’t ever want to go back to eating that health-depriving standard American diet.
Listen to this report from Liz G.
“I went in a food store yesterday and they were offering chocolate truffles to their customers. I thanked her, but said that I was on the Hacres diet and decided to pass. She said you are the first lady that has said no.
I think my husband was surprised too because I love chocolate. No desire for sweets here….thank you Jesus and Hacres.”
Once your body starts getting the nutrition it needs, those cravings for junk food start to vanish. This is because we don’t teach a typical “diet” program. We teach you to eat the way God first taught Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.
“And God said , Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.” Genesis 1:29
The Hallelujah Diet is a sustainable lifestyle that will not only help you lose weight if you need to, but help your body rebuild itself the way God intended. When adhered to, this lifestyle provides all the nutrition your body needs… without all the junk it doesn’t. And when you’re feeling better than you ever have before, it’s natural to tell your friends, family, the clerk at the grocery store and anyone else who will listen!
Over 6,500 (that we know about) have taken on the 60-day challenge this month. I believe this revolution is just starting!
P.S. It’s not too late for you to start 60 Days to a Hallelujah Waistline. Just visit www.hacres.com/60days to sign up.

We have been taking a look at a health problem being experienced by an ever-increasing number of American’s – the problem of Overweight and Obesity, along with an expanding waistline. (See articles from last week and the week prior.)
As we begin this third week on the subject, for clarity purposes, I want to divide my remarks into three parts: Problem, Cause, and Solution. In the first two Health Tips we dealt primarily with the problem & cause. This week we will deal with the solution. But before we deal with the solution, let’s briefly review the first two parts:
The Problem
As we began to take a look at the issue of Excess Weight and Obesity, along with an expanding waist line, almost immediately we saw the primary cause of the problem – wrong diet and lack of exercise. But we also learned some very frightening statistics: 180 million Americans (over 60% of our population) are overweight, 40 million of these 180 million are obese, and 3 million are classified as being morbidly obese.
We concluded by stating: “The sad truth is that obesity has reached epidemic proportions, and excess weight precipitates or aggravates almost every acute and chronic disease being experienced. Many of the seriously overweight suffer with cardiovascular disease and/or diabetes, along with a multitude of other symptoms.
The good news is, that usually all one needs do to eliminate excess weight, obesity, and an expanding waistline, along with all the symptoms that accompany them, is simply change what is being eaten, and start a simple exercise program.
We also learned that: “The prevalence of overweight and obesity has steadily increased over the years among all genders, all ages, all racial/ethnic groups, and all educational levels.”
The Cause
In past Health Tips we also learned that: “We are the most overfed – undernourished country in the history of the world, and that the average person in America consumes 3,393 calories per day which is phenomenal, also the highest in the world.”
We also learned that the primary sources of the calories that lead to all of this overweightness and expanding waistlines is coming from refined sugars, refined grains, and animal fat, items found in abundance in the Standard American Diet (SAD), the diet consumed daily by most people in America today.
We also learned that: “The Hallelujah Diet eliminates these fat producing items, the very items found in abundance in the SAD diet and the items responsible for most of the excess weight and obesity plaguing over 60% of our population. In place of all these fat-producing items, The Hallelujah Diet and Lifestyle provides highly nutritious, fiber rich, complex carbohydrate, predominantly raw foods that nourish the body and contribute to a slender and healthy body.”
The Solution
The solution to the overweight, obese, and expanding waistline problem being experienced by the majority of our nation’s population is to stop putting into the body those things that caused the condition, start putting into the body those healthy foods that contribute to a slender and healthy body, and start exercising. Sounds like a simple solution, doesn’t it? But the application of the solution is not so simple, and it is here that I want to devote the rest of this Health Tip.
Formula for Weight Loss
The formula for weight loss is a simple one – decrease caloric intake and increase calories burned! Now that we have the formula for successful weight loss, how can we best implement it?
Step One – Make a Commitment
The first step in achieving a slimmer waistline and healthier body is to make a commitment. We are told that it takes 21 days to break a habit and establish a new habit. So the first step in reaching the goal of a slimmer waistline and healthier body is to make a commitment.
The primary reason for expanding waistlines is because the person has developed some bad eating habits that led to the problem. Breaking the eating habits that have created the problem and establishing the good eating habits that can help a person reach their goal; can in most cases be accomplished in 21 days.
So for the next 21 days you are going to make a commitment to eliminate the fiberless, high calorie foods that have created the overweight condition: refined sugar, refined grains (including all white flour containing products) and all animal source foods (including cheese). In their place we are going to adopt the low calorie, high fiber, 100% plant based Hallelujah Diet, and start exercising.
To help you stick with your commitment, let’s find an index card (just a piece of paper will do) and on that card or paper write the following:
I, ___________________________, do hereby contract with myself and with my God that I will adopt The Hallelujah Acres Diet and Lifestyle, and will eliminate all three of the high calorie, fat producing items from my diet for the next 21-days.
Should I deviate from the terms of this contract during any one of the next 21-days, I will immediately start over again from the beginning. I will adhere to the terms of this contract until I have completed the full 21-days on The Hallelujah Diet and Lifestyle.
Signed _______________________________________
Witness_______________________________________
Date__________________________________________
Step Two – Post Contract Along With a Recent Picture
If you have a recent picture of yourself, post that picture alongside your contract, so that as you lose those excess pounds, you can have a visual of your progress. Place this contract and picture in a conspicuous place where you will see them every day, such as your bathroom mirror (that’s the best place) or refrigerator.
Step Three – Program Your Mind for Success
Repeat frequently such affirmations as “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me!” or “I will eat to live, rather than live to eat.” You can also create some of your own affirmations. Make it fun! Be creative! Look forward to and be excited about taking control of your weight and health. Above all, don’t feel sorry for yourself, or you will sow the seeds for defeat.
You can succeed! You can be victorious! You can do it if your ‘want to’ is big enough. Get excited about the prospect of a new you!
Step Four – Set a Goal
How many pounds, or how many inches, or how many dress sizes do you want to lose in the next 21 days?
Be realistic here. Set an achievable goal. A pound a day weight loss should be achievable.
Think how much better you will feel and look with the weight and size of a bowling bowl missing from your abdomen. A regulation bowling ball weighs 16 pounds. Some people are carrying around several of these bowling balls everywhere they go.
Step Five – Plan Your Strategy for Success
If at all possible, remove from your pantry and refrigerator all foods containing the three fattening items listed above. This removes the temptation to consume these items when you get hungry.
That means getting out of the house all soda pop, chips, candy, cookies, and other foods containing refined sugar and/or refined flour, as well as all meat, milk, cheese, and eggs. In the place of these fattening foods, we are going to restock our fridge and pantry with only those foods allowed on The Hallelujah Diet.
Distilled water will be the beverage of choice, but unsweetened herbal teas containing no caffeine, sweetened with honey, maple syrup, or stevia are permissible.
10 Tips for Success
- Limit cooked food to one small portion of cooked food following that large salad at supper time. (You can swap the evening meal with the noon meal if desired.) Acceptable cooked foods would include baked sweet potato, steamed veggies, whole grains, whole grain pasta, or some beans. Also, consuming some dietary fiber before the meal will slow the absorption of carbohydrates and thus hasten the full feeling. A serving of flax seed or B/Flax D would be helpful before a meal to hasten that full feeling.
- Minimize sweet fruits, such as bananas and dried fruits.
- Emphasize vegetables – emphasize the deep green leafy vegetables (kale, collards, spinach, lettuce, etc,) along with celery, cucumbers, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, carrots, etc.
- Minimize seeds, nuts and avocados, which are a high source of fat (though a healthy fat.)
- Drink lots of distilled water. Don’t drink water with your meals, but when it is not mealtime and you are hungry, water and lots of it, can help satisfy that hunger. The next time you get hungry drink 8-ounces of water and see if that doesn’t take the edge off your craving.
- Exercise daily. Start with a simple walking program, increasing speed and distance with each passing day. Exercise, along with lots of water, is an excellent help in quieting hunger. Exercise not only increases caloric burn during the exercise program itself, but as the muscles grow, this caloric burn continues throughout the day and night, literally 24 hours a day.
- Spend as much time outdoors as possible each day, trying whenever possible to get some sun on as much of the body as possible, and learn to breathe deeply, especially when out of doors.
- Do not eat anything containing fiber after 7:00 p.m. Water and herb teas and BarleyMax are permissible after 7:00 p.m., although for some, BarleyMax will make sleep more difficult if consumed too close to bed time, while for others it makes them sleep like a baby.
- Early to bed and early to rise is important, and when tired, if possible, rest.
- Keep a food journal, and become aware of your high and low times, and keep track of your progress.
For Those Who Have Already Lost Significant Weight on the Hallelujah Acres Diet & Lifestyle and Reached A Plateau…
The following suggestions may prove helpful:
- Eliminate carrot juice, and in its place drink green juices coming from leafy greens, celery, cucumbers, etc., along with at least six serving of BarleyMax daily.
- Eliminate all seeds, nuts, and avocados. (Flax seeds are allowed)
- Increase duration and vigor of exercise, and perform weight resistance exercises daily. This will speed up the metabolism, build muscle, and thus increase calories burned.
- Try a safe weight-loss supplement. Some have reported improved weight loss through the use of the product MAX-WLX, an all-natural weight loss accelerator that controls the leptin hormone. As a result, your body regains its sensitivity to leptin’s appetite-to-brain messaging system, helping you speed your weight loss efforts. (MAX-WLX is available from Hallelujah Acres)
- Try an iodine supplement for thyroid. We have found that with some who have followed the Hallelujah Diet and reached an impasse, a slow thyroid may be the culprit, and an iodine supplement may help get things moving.
Testimony
Testimonies of others who have succeeded in losing weight and improving their health can sometimes be a motivator and encouragement. Here is a testimony that will hopefully encourage you to try for the first time or continue on if already on the Hallelujah Diet and Lifestyle:
“I just wanted you to know because of the information I received from you I have overcome high blood pressure, heart arrhythmia, obesity, and now sleep like a baby! I attended your seminar in Clinton, Iowa some years ago, but didn’t immediately connect with your message. Over time I bought a juicer and started half-heartedly to follow your advice. I have lost over 100 pounds, and walk one to three miles a day. I also have my wife on the diet and she has overcome hip problems and acid reflux. We also never eat after 6:00 p.m. Our Jack Russell Terrier also likes carrot juice and BarleyMax and he is one healthy dog! You have made a difference in our lives and I know your following will grow. Thanks again, and praise be to God and His plan for mankind.”
