Testimonies
Pill-free, Pain-free, and Disease-free
Nov 10th
Week after week, from across America and around the world we receive testimonies from those who have adopted The Hallelujah Diet and have seen numerous improvements in their physical and mental health.
These testimonies are not only a tremendous encouragement to this editor to keep sharing this diet and lifestyle, but also to those who read this Health Tip.

“I had a friend whose husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer and given but six months to live. Grasping for a chance to live, he drastically changed his ‘lifestyle’ [by following The Hallelujah Diet], and I watched him recover.
I thought if anything bad ever happened to me I would do what he did. But my beer, pizza, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and steak were too important to me and after all I didn’t ‘need’ to change because I didn’t have cancer.
Only two years later my scare with cancer confronted me and I was at a crossroad. I had to decide if my taste buds were in charge or if I was in charge?
It took a month to learn what food truly was and what it was not and to ‘renew’ my mind. I decided to make food my medicine and medicine my food. If it brought life and health to my body it was nourishing food. My new mantra was ‘Goo, glue, mucus, and disease, I don’t want any of these.’
After three months on The Hallelujah Diet my 19-year old daughter decided to join me because I already looked better and felt better than she had ever seen me.
Now, not only is my cancer gone but 32 years of menstrual cramps are gone; 23 years of adult acne is gone; 13 years of suffering with bronchitis six to eight times a year is gone. Also, 30 pounds are gone along with constipation I had suffered with since kindergarten.
I know there are other health issues that are gone, but because I don’t have to deal with them anymore I don’t remember what they were. All these improvements are the result of allowing ‘food to be my medicine and medicine my food’.
It’s funny how many friends and family members were concerned about me cutting out all meat and dairy from my diet. They watched me closely and the people who were the most concerned are now on the diet as well, enjoying the benefits of eating a 100% plant-based diet of mostly raw plant foods, and enjoying the benefits.
They saw my improved health and wanted to experience those improvements themselves.
I feel bad for all the naysayers who criticize this diet and lifestyle, but as for me, I am going to stick with George Malkmus and eat the ‘garden’ foods God started mankind out consuming in a garden in Genesis 1:29.
I am now nearly three years on the diet and counting – still pill free, pain free, and disease free. HALLELUJAH!”
Cheri M., Kissimmee, Florida
“Dear Hallelujah Acres, I’m so thankful to be able to report that after several weeks of juicing my mother feels much better and her vision has improved about 40%.
She is still a work in progress with regard to the [Hallelujah] diet, but at least she is juicing carrots, beets, and taking BarleyMax, along with some other supplements. It has made a world of difference. Thank you!
I should add that doctors thought she had Parkinson’s, but praise the Lord, yesterday she met with a neurologist that believes her diet can heal her. I have been trying to tell her for years the diet could heal her and now she is finally giving the diet a try.”
Rosalee M.
“I suffered for two years with gallbladder pain. Then one day in the mail I received a copy of the Hallelujah Acres paper publication ‘Health News’. I went to your website where I learned so much and immediately adopted The Hallelujah Diet.
Well, I am thrilled to report that within weeks all my gallbladder pain had stopped and as long as I stick to the diet I continue to do fine.”
Peggy K.
“Twenty-nine years ago Evangelist Lester Roloff passed away. I am still influenced today by his life in many ways; especially his doctrine on the Bible and his health habits. As a result of his teachings, 29 years after his death, I am still both spiritually and physically rejoicing. He’s my hero.”

Thinking Outside The (Medicine) Box
Nov 3rd
When Rhonda and I started Hallelujah Acres in that little 11-foot-wide store front on February 12, 1992, our message “You Don’t Have to Be Sick” was mocked and ridiculed by most in the Christian community. It is exciting today to know that our efforts for nearly 20 years are now bringing health and healing as evidenced by these testimonies:
“Dear George: Thank you for allowing God to use you. I love the way you say things that others are afraid to say in your Health Tips – Such as “How Prayer Can Hinder the Healing of God’s People” and “How Churches Promote ill Health”.
I love how you think outside of the box of conventional medicine.
Thank you for allowing God to use you in this way. God bless you in your (His) ministry.”
Linda C., Missouri
“I just want to tell anybody who doubts the Hallelujah Acres message of “You Don’t Have to be Sick” that you need doubt it no more. My husband and I began to get serious about our health by adopting The Hallelujah Diet in April 2011 and as a result my husband is no longer diabetic.
In six months his blood sugar has dropped from over 300 to under 120 and he no longer has to take any medicine to control his blood/sugar levels. His doctor is even impressed.
Rev. Malkmus, we thank you for your inspired teachings. You are doing such a wonderful work.”
Crystal T.
“Hi Rhonda and George, First let me say I was completely blessed by the Women’s Retreat two weeks ago. Such powerful speakers, I learned so much and hope to attend the next one in 2012. We are preparing to go to Haiti for our next missionary trip. Yesterday as we were packing up to go I tripped over a cement rise and flew forward grabbing a table to break the fall. The problem was that the table was not secured to the ground and I continued my flight hitting the cement patio bouncing twice on my right hip and landing flat on my back which is fused on one side and I have severe scoliosis.
My praise report is that though most people, especially women who fall in my age category (77) always break a hip – but I am here to say that there are no broken bones thanks to God’s Hallelujah Diet.
I got up this morning a little sore, and proceeded to sing praises to our Lord in the praise and worship team at church. God is so goooooodddd!”
Missionary and Hallelujah Acres Health Minister Carla C., Florida
“Five years ago I was diagnosed with lupus and was very sick. I really thought that my life was going to go downhill from that point on as I did a lot of research on the disease and for everyone with this disease it seems to just snowball and get worse and worse until they finally die of some kind of complication. Also I learned that lupus patients are very highly medicated.
I decided that instead of going the medical route I would try The Hallelujah Diet of juicing carrots and eating an 85% raw 15% plant based diet. I was only three days into the diet when I began to gain energy I hadn’t had in years. I continued to get better and better – and really, in three months into it, was pretty much healed of the disease.
I had no idea that a person could feel so good. I felt and still do feel better than I can ever remember feeling even as a teenager.
I am now 48 years old. I also lost 25 pounds which was a nice plus. I completely, 100%, recommend this diet to everyone – especially if you are sick.
Yes, it is a lifestyle change but if you really love life and want to live it to its fullest, you need to give it a try.”
Maria A., Nebraska
“The Hallelujah Diet is not an easy diet to follow, but the benefits are remarkable. You feel better than you have ever felt and the foods you eat are satisfying. I don’t get hungry or want to binge anymore and I am off sugar, meat, refined flour, dairy etc.
Not only do I feel better, but I have peace of mind. I will shortly be getting off of my cholesterol medicine. My goal is to get of my diabetes medicine and blood pressure medicine.
I am under a doctor’s care, but I found out the both my doctor and his wife are on the diet as well.”

From A Plant-Based Diet to Plant-Eating Worms
Oct 27th
Thank you so much for writing — and please keep those letters coming! Your testimonies provide the motivation to write these Health Tips, which I have been writing for 14 years as of this week! I trust the information shared over the years has been a blessing to you.
Now, on to our testimonies!
“My sister had massive fluid in her tummy with a growth in her colon. I started her on The Hallelujah Diet with supplements and in two months the fluid had greatly reduced and the tumor shrunk by 1.5 cm.
She started feeling so much better she was able to go to the gym and start doing mild exercise.”
Mary
“I think your recent Health Tip titled ‘How the World’s Way Destroys our Health’ is outstanding and says it all about why people are not experiencing health in our country. You said it so well.
I have been on a 100% mostly raw, plant-based diet for over 10 years now and am still feeling great at 83 years of age.
I encourage everyone I come in contact with to change the way they are fueling their bodies. Keep up the good work!”
“Dear Rev. Malkmus, I just want you to know how much I enjoy reading your Health Tips.
As a physician I want so much to be able to really help people recover using a healthy lifestyle to do so but could lose my license to practice medicine if I am not careful.
As a physician we have requirements to meet certain protocols that I do not agree with, but I must do these things if I am to keep my job. Please pray that I will be able to change to a position where I am free to share God’s original diet with patients and support them.
This flu season the organization I work for has enforced mandatory flu shots. Those who refuse receiving that dangerous flu shot are required to wear a mask. I am wearing a mask and am the only one doing so.
Thanks for listening and thank you so much for your labor of love.”
Dr. Nancy L., (MD)
“Dr. Malkmus, Thank you so very much for the abundance of health information you share in your weekly Health Tips. I live in Kenya where I am your disciple in The Hallelujah Diet. I am now in my seventh year of healthy living on The Hallelujah Diet.”
Health Minister Catherine N., Kenya, Africa
“Brother Malkmus, I have been enjoying your gardening tips so much. In your most recent gardening tip you talked about a powder you use to keep worms off your collards. Could you tell me what it is, because worms are destroying my cabbage plants and I have no clue as to what to do to stop them? Thank you so much!” Brenda H.
Editor Responds - The scientific name for this powder is “Bacillus Thuringiensis”. You dust it on the leaves of the plant and especially the heart of the plant where the new leaves are forming. It is not toxic to humans but gives the worm a tummy ache. As a result, the worm stops feeding and soon dies. It is a totally organic and non toxic way of dealing with worms eating up your garden plants.
Cancer, Prayer, and Disease Insurance
Oct 20th
I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciate your letters — even those that challenge me with questions!
But the ones that thrill me the most are those that report improvements in their health after making the diet changes promoted in these Health Tips.
Please keep them coming as I have said so many times before they make my day!
“Hello Dr. Malkmus, I am Linda, a registered nurse in Asheville, North Carolina and one of your Health Ministers. I attended your October 1 First Saturday Seminar accompanied by friends we had brought for their first visit to Hallelujah Acres.
At the seminar I spoke with you regarding my fantastic past year on The Hallelujah Diet and how I was now cancer free after refusing chemotherapy and other medical modalities.
We have just learned that our pastor has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. He is only in his 40s. Our church is booming in outreach and size and our pastor’s progress through this valley in his life will be watched by many.
Please ask your Health Tip followers to pray for him, as he is truly a man of God.”
Health Minister Linda S., RN, Asheville, North Carolina
“Dear George, I read your article regarding ‘Is Health Insurance a Good Investment.’ I wish that article could be placed in every newspaper in the land where millions of people could read it. You hit the nail on the head.
Why should we pay good money to buy health insurance that pays for doctors to slice us open and poison us more after the very reason we are sick is because we poisoned ourselves with the Standard American Diet? God bless you and your (God’s) ministry.”
Strat G.
“Rev. Malkmus, Just wanted to make sure that you are aware that there are Christian alternatives to traditional health insurance.
It is the Christian sharing model used by Samaritan Ministries and several other groups which operate similarly to traditional Health Insurance.
They are less expensive because they restrict membership to believing Christians who agree not to smoke or indulge in alcohol, or participate in other disease-producing behaviors.
These policies still amount to what you rightly call ‘disease’ insurance, but at least are not participating in traditional health insurance which forces believers to subsidize procedures which are against their faith, such as abortion.”
Deanna L.
“To our most beloved Brother George. My warmest greetings from Uganda. I just wanted to thank you so much for all that you are doing to educate Christians about how to maintain our God given temples of the Holy Spirit so that they are fit vessels to serve our God.
Indeed, staying away from the ‘world’s diet’ which makes us sick, and adopting the Genesis 1:29 diet along with lots of juicing will make us healthy and keep sickness away.
It is sad that neither the world nor the medical people teach the truth as you do Dr. Malkmus. I have been so blessed by your teaching. Thank you so much.”
Evace K., Health Minister, Uganda, Africa
Pastors, Nurses, and Everyone In Between
Oct 13th
For the past few weeks we have been sharing a lot of the responses to some of our recent Health Tips. Today, we’re catching up on some of the wonderful health testimonies we have received from people who have seen improvement after adopting The Hallelujah Diet!
“Dr. Malkmus, I have truly enjoyed being a part of your Hallelujah Acres mission. I was introduced to The Hallelujah Diet by a nurse friend of mine who thought I might be interested in it. She was a health nut, and I have now become one too. She loaned me a copy of your seminar ‘God’s Way to Ultimate Health’ video and after watching it ordered two more so that I could share your Health Message with friends, family, and church members.
I have been on The Hallelujah Diet for just over six months and am currently doing the ’60 Day Juice Up’ with Paul and Ann along with a number of other people in my church. I can’t believe what an impact that program is having on people in my church that I would never have dreamed would be interested in a diet change. The surprising thing is that the people I thought would be the most interested are the slower ones to respond.
My next goal is to attend Health Minister training there in Shelby, North Carolina. I am so passionate about your health message that I watch your seminar video once a week so that I can keep focused on why I am doing what I am doing. I love that video and want so much to help you spread God’s health message.
Since making the diet change I have experienced improved eyesight, healthier skin, clarity of mind, and the shedding of some unwanted pounds.”
Gloria A., Odessa, Texas
“Dear Rev. George Malkmus, I recently read your book ‘Why Christians Get Sick.’ As a result of reading your book I have made some changes in my diet and plan to make more changes soon. I have never smoked, drank, and have never missed a Sunday or Wednesday preaching service in 26 years. I praise God for my health and want to cooperate with God in maintaining it for His honor and glory. You and Hallelujah Acres are in my prayers.”
Pastor Dan B., North Manchester, Indiana
“In 2007 I developed breast cancer. It was a wakeup call. Years ago I was on The Hallelujah Diet but that good diet fell by the wayside while fostering four children ages 9, 6, 4, and 2.
After receiving word that I had breast cancer I immediately returned to and adopted The Hallelujah Recovery Diet and here I am four years later completely free of cancer – and that’s not just me saying it, but verified by medical tests.
Interestingly, for the past four years they have not one time asked me to have a mammogram despite my being 64 years old. After each test showing that I am still free of cancer, all they say is ‘just keep on doing what you are doing because it is working’. Sadly they still don’t believe it is the diet that caused my cancer to go away. But I know better!
I have since given up foster care work and so have a lot less stress in my life, because I believe that stress plays a big part in causing illnesses. I have shared The Hallelujah Diet with many people, and those who have adopted it have seen miraculous healings from cancers as well as other physical problems.
I have also stopped donating money to cancer research because I have learned that they are only fronts protecting the cancer industry. I now tell those asking for donations for cancer research that a cure for cancer has already been found in The Hallelujah Diet, but sadly finding a cure is not on their agenda.
I am still after four years, still on The Hallelujah Diet all day and every day. I also love reading your Health Tips, especially the feature articles.”
Trish K., Cooran, Queensland, Australia
“Rev. Malkmus, after 40-plus years of preparing food traditionally, The Hallelujah Diet has brought about a newness and excitement into my food prep. I now look forward to finding meals and snacks to prepare that are healthy, that I never would have known about before.
I grew up as a child listening to Evangelist Lester Roloff on the radio. Listening to Brother Roloff helped confirm that what you and Hallelujah Acres are teaching is correct.
I first learned of Hallelujah Acres when you appeared on WGGS television in Greenville, South Carolina. As a result of listening and watching you, I adopted The Hallelujah Diet, and have experienced a renewal of my health – increased energy, better mood, clearer skin, better blood pressure numbers, and an overall sense of being healthier.
I attended the Women’s Retreat at Hallelujah Acres last year and loved how Rhonda made the ladies feel so special. She is a dear woman and I’m coming back to another Women’s Retreat.”

The Message Is Taking Hold!
Oct 6th
The response to the past two Health Tips titled “How Churches Promote Ill Health” and “How Prayer Can Hinder the Health of God’s People” have been so encouraging! People are beginning to understand that the way Christians and churches have been dealing with physical problems in the past needs to be reevaluated as these letters reveal:
“Dear Rev. Malkmus, Thank you for last week’s Health Tip titled ‘How Prayer Can Hinder the Health of God’s People.’ Several years ago when I got sick, I did not like what the doctor was telling me I needed to do to get well.
So after praying for God to heal me, I asked God to show me what I needed to do to get well.
In answer to that prayer He sent a friend who encouraged me to adopt The Hallelujah Diet. I changed my diet and that change saved my life!
A funny side-note: In my prayer to God I told Him that I would ‘eat dirt’ if it would help me get well. Interestingly, He didn’t have me eat dirt, but he did send someone who encouraged me to eat the living plants that grew in the dirt. Thank you for your ministry. What you teach not only brought healing to my body but is also helping so many others.”
Bonnie
“Rev. Malkmus, I love your recent articles titled ‘How Churches Promote Ill Health’ and How Prayer Can Hinder the Healing of God’s People’. I so agree with you. A year ago I requested our pastor bring a message to the church promoting good health through diet change. I am still waiting for that message.
Pastors fail to realize the influence they have on their members when they make light of the garbage they and the church people are eating and fail to direct the people to biblical nutrition that promotes good health. It is sad but only so true that pastors are promoting ill health in the church. I love your Health Tip articles and look forward to reading all the information you share each week from God’s Word.”
Debora J.
“Dear Brother George, Harry and I were discussing our frustrations in trying to bring The Hallelujah Diet to people in our church and seeing them choose ill health rather than change what they eat. This brought the Scripture in I John to mind where the Bible says ‘there is a sin unto death’.
How can we pray for the healing of God’s people when they are knowingly destroying their bodies by what they are eating?
We watch people constantly going forward in the church requesting prayer for healing and then in response to those prayers refuse to follow The Hallelujah Diet that will bring them the healing they are asking God for. So often when encouraged to make the diet change they respond that doing so is ‘too hard.’ So Harry responds when they say that with these words: ‘Isn’t going to a doctor and dying harder?’
We then watch these same people go through such terrible trauma at the hands of the doctors because they refuse to change their diet. In comparison to the suffering they go through doing what the doctor has them do, how can they continue to say making a diet change is ‘too hard.’ Just wanted to share my thoughts!
Blessings to you, Rhonda, and everyone at Hallelujah Acres!”
Health Ministers Cindy and Harry W.
“I hate the prayer sheets they pass around our church every Wednesday night enumerating all the physical problems being experienced by the people in our church. We spend much more time talking about the different diseases, the medical treatments they are receiving, and praying for people’s healing than we do talking about the Lord and praying for the lost.”
Sheilah
“Thank you Rev. George. What you say is so true but I wish more people would hear what you are saying. We had dinner at church last Sunday and they served all that fattening food. We need to all start taking responsibility for our actions including me. I need to get back on The Hallelujah Diet on which in just one month I lost weight and felt so good, but then I went back to the SAD diet and got sick again. Please pray for me to have accountability for my actions.”
Michelle O.
“Sir, it was very pleasing to read those positive comments in your Health Tip regarding how diet affects our health. I have told people that if I come upon you and find you with a smashed and bloody thumb, I will stop and help to relieve your pain – but if I witness you taking up your hammer and hitting your thumb again, you have disrespected my time and heartfelt concern.
God calls us to repent of our former conduct and that most certainly encompasses our diet. In Israel, the doctors have gone on strike at least four times in my lifetime, and every single time they have gone on strike the death rate drops upwards of 50%. This has happened in every city with the exception of Netanya. This is the only Israeli city where the doctors have a ‘no-strike clause in their contracts – and that is the only city where death rates stay high during a doctor strike.
The funeral industry in Israel has such a low margin of profit that during a doctor’s strike, some go out of business. A search of the root word of ‘pharmaceutical’, shows it comes from the Greek word ‘pharmakeia’, meaning ‘poisoner’. The word is used three times in scripture and clearly shows in Revelation 18:23 that God doesn’t just take a dim view of us using pharmaceuticals (drugs), but rather pours out His wrath on those who use them.
If that isn’t incentive enough for a person to change their diet and stop using those pharmaceuticals, I don’t know what is.”
Don S., Israel
“Dear Rev. Malkmus, I am so grateful that your articles are making this information available to the churches. In many quarters, churches are not held in very high esteem because the church shows no respect for the foods God told us we should eat in Genesis 1:29, and how this lack of respect is contributing to ill health.
Yes, churches are contributing to people’s ill health! My parents and my mother’s two sisters were all church attending, loyal Christians, and the churches they attended unfortunately contributed to their ill health. They prayed for restoration of their health, but no one ever told them of the dangers of refined sugar, cow milk, meat and white flour, and that these were the cause of their ill health. In fact the church was promoting these disease causing substances right in the churches they attended.
Mum died of bowel cancer and dad of heart disease at age 54 while on the operating table for a triple heart by-pass. My oldest brother had to have a stent installed because of a clogged artery. As for me, I lost all respect for the church when I learned about God’s Genesis 1:29 diet, adopted that diet, and got well after prayers had failed to bring healing to my body.
I’m sorry, but I can no longer respect the church that as you say ‘nurtures the soul and spirit while having total disrespect for the body’ by failing to warn people of the dangers of eating animal products, refined sugar and white flour products. Thank you once again for your inspiring messages. I have been following The Hallelujah Diet for over 10 years now and it has brought me superior health.”
Toni K., Australia
“Hi George, I know you’ve felt it – ‘FRUSTRATION!’ Frustration – because people just couldn’t seem to hear your message. Sometimes I feel that too. Here we are in a world of sick people who need good nutrition. We KNOW we have the important information they need so desperately to help them get well and stay well, if they would only LISTEN (hear) what we have to say and TAKE ACTION. I too am on a mission to bring this knowledge to the people and I am so glad we are aligned on this.”
Dr. Jana B., Hawaii
