Is Grass-Fed Beef Okay To Include In a Cancer Diet?
Jul 7th
Dr. Malkmus, In January of this year I had a 1-inch cancerous tumor removed from my colon along with 12 lymph nodes, one of which was cancerous…We were told that they probably did get all of the cancer and ordered a CAT scan which showed nothing, but said that didn’t necessarily mean I was clear of cancer.
At that point we decided to change my diet to a vegan diet until I could find a source of organic grass-fed beef.
We have bought a Norwalk press, a Vita-Mix blender, and a rebounder. I have read many books and must say that I am actually confused about the meat factor. Right now I find myself eating very little animal protein…I tell you all this because I am concerned about my diet and need some nutritional advice.

Rev. Malkmus Responds
I appreciate your email and you seeking advice from Hallelujah Acres.
Emily, this is a matter of great concern if one desires to recover from or prevent cancer.
Our research reveals that it doesn’t matter if the animal source foods are organic or not – its impact on cancer is the same. Organic animal sourced foods feed cancer in the same way as commercially produced does.
Let me help clear up some confusion regarding animal source foods.
The protein and fats found in animal source foods (both meat and dairy) are the primary cause of most diseases – especially cancer. We believe that it is imperative that all meat and dairy be eliminated if one wants to support the body’s innate self-healing.
Dr. T. Colin Campbell found he could turn cancer growth on and off by simply varying the amount of animal protein in the diet of lab animals.
Dr. Campbell’s book, The China Study is an excellent reference as to the roll diet plays in disease development. The study includes almost 50 years of research on the relationship between diet and disease.
About This Reponse
Hallelujah Acres is a Christian ministry teaching a diet and lifestyle based upon the Biblical principles found in Genesis 1:29. Our goal is to offer general information that will allow a person to make informed decisions as they take control of their own health.
We are not medical doctors and thus cannot diagnose or prescribe treatment for any disease.
We believe and teach that God has placed within each of us self-healing and that when provided conditions conducive to healing, the body will in most instances heal itself.
You can read testimonies of over 100 different physical problems from which people tell us they have recovered after adopting the Hallelujah Diet and Lifestyle on our website at www.hacres.com.
Healthy Attendance Over 4th of July Weekend
Jul 4th
Nearly 200 people chose to spend their holiday weekend with Hallelujah Acres this month. They came from 16 different states and even as far away as Nigeria, Africa!
The weekend started with Rhonda’s Culinary Class on Friday night. She prepared 10 different recipes. The main dish was her famous “Raw Dawgs.” They taste and look like the traditional 4th of July indulgence, but are made with 100% plant-based ingredients!
On Saturday, we met a couple from Indiana who had just learned about Hallelujah Acres the day before and flew in to join us. They were still on their honeymoon! The husband farms some 5,000 commercial acres of crop and is concerned about all the toxic chemicals used in today’s farming. They want to adopt the Hallelujah Diet as they set up their new home and even registered for this week’s Health Minister Training.
We had at least a half a dozen folks in attendance who were dealing with cancer. One was a Baptist Evangelist here with his wife who was recently diagnosed with cancer and did not want to receive conventional treatments. Another was a registered nurse and mother of two, who was there with her husband, mom and husband’s mom. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatments for her cancer and was bald. She gave testimony that her family was attending the seminar with her in order to support her as she embarks on the Hallelujah Diet.
And then there were the incredible testimonies shared. This is always my favorite part of the seminar as dozens share how their health improved following their adoption of the Hallelujah Diet and Lifestyle. These testimonies would make a believer out of anyone attending for the first time.
Folks told of cancers simply disappearing, diabetic symptoms reversing, a heart transplant no longer needed, high blood pressure and cholesterol normalizing with no more need for drugs. Several reported weight loss of over 100 pounds each along with numerous other physical problems that simply disappeared after making this simple dietary change.
About 50 people also attended our famous “Where Do I Go from Here” class following my seminar. Many of those in that class were in attendance at all three events, for what we call a “Hallelujah Weekend.”
Our next “Hallelujah Weekend” is scheduled for August 5th and 6th and it’s not too early to register. Each month there are those who come by car, van and bus load from various churches. Some even fly into the Charlotte, NC airport to attend. We’re looking forward to a great Hallelujah Weekend in August and would love to have you join us! Attending could change or save your life!

Energy Drinks – Health Hazard
Jul 2nd
Countless studies have exposed the dangers associated with the regular consumption of energy drinks.
According to a recent report by the Associated Press, potential harms may include: irritability, high blood pressure, heart palpitations, seizures and strokes.
Late last year, the American Association of Poison Control Centers began tracking energy drink overdoses and side effects. Since the study began late last year, more than 3,000 such cases have been reported.
But Americans aren’t about to stop consuming these popular, performance enhancing drinks.
In fact, energy drinks are the fastest growing product in the US beverage market, with 2011 sales expected to surpass $9 billion.
While studies have focused on the effects of ingredients like caffeine, taurine and guarana (which contains roughly twice the caffeine found in coffee beans), they fail to highlight another important ingredient: sugar.
Following is a listing of 10 of these energy drinks along with the amount of sugar found in each can:
- Red Eye – 48.5 grams (11.5 teaspoons sugar)
- Red Bull – 52 grams (12.4 teaspoons sugar)
- Rock Star – 62 grams (15 teaspoons sugar)
- AMP Energy – 58 grams (14 teaspoons sugar)
- Full Throttle – 58 grams (14 teaspoons)
- Demon – 50 grams (12 teaspoons sugar)
- Fortify Energy Plus – 50 grams (12 teaspoons sugar)
- Samidi – 57 grams (14 teaspoons sugar)
- Mother – 52 grams (12.4 teaspoons sugar)
- Monster M-80 – 46 grams (11 teaspoons sugar)
Refined sugar is a drug and one of the most addictive substances a person can consume. Some sources report that sugar is as addictive as cocaine and as difficult to withdraw from.
So when you consider that a Pepsi or Coke contains approximately 10 teaspoons of addictive sugar in each 12 oz can, think how much more addictive these energy drinks must be.
Many people don’t realize this, but caffeine is as much an addictive drug as nicotine, alcohol, or marijuana.
So when you add caffeine you begin to understand why the sale of these so-called energy drinks is soaring. Monster M-80 for instance not only contains 11 teaspoons of addictive sugar but also 160 mg of caffeine.
It is interesting to note that while both of these addictive drugs initially appear to give the body a rush of energy, the end result is exhaustion and fatigue. (We’ll do a more in-depth report on this in a future Health Tip.)
Think about it… If a person consumes just one Pepsi or Coke daily for one year that amount of sugar can add 15 pounds of weight in one year.
And the artificial sugars in diet sodas create appetite, causing a person to consume more calories, which in turn adds additional weight.
I will conclude with this: Our immune system was given us by God to protect us from germs, viruses, bacteria, and even cancer.
SUGAR has a devastating effect upon the immune system by inhibiting the immune system’s protective powers.
When a person consumes one of these energy drinks, they are not only consuming two addictive drugs along with a risk of weight gain, but compromising their immune system — to say nothing of a cost of over $2.00 per container!
EDITOR’S CONCLUSION: I personally have no reason to purchase one of these so-called energy drinks because The Hallelujah Diet provides my body with more energy at nearly 80 years of age than I had as a teenager consuming the Standard American Diet.
By the way, I do consume a different kind of energy drink at least three times a day — BarleyMax — and it’s just 33 cents a serving!
Best of all, this energy drink is not a drug, contains no refined sugar and no caffeine and rather than compromising my immune system it builds and strengthens it.
Dear friends – If you are relying on the world’s energy drinks for your energy, may I suggest you give The Hallelujah Diet and BarleyMax a try.
BarleyMax, at a cost of just $0.99 a day for three servings, compared to over $2.00 per serving of an energy drink, you can’t beat the cost or results!
