How to Deal With Cardiovascular Problems Naturally
Apr 19th
In last week’s Health Tip we shared how extremely toxic, dangerous, and expensive today’s medical drugs are when used to subdue the symptoms of disease.
In this Health Tip we will begin taking a look at some of the alternatives to these toxic, dangerous and expensive drugs. These alternatives (in most instances) work far better, are less expensive, are not invasive — and to top it all off — are non-toxic.
In this Health Tip we will take a look at one of the diseases people are being diagnosed with today and what drugs or procedures are being offered in the treatment of this disease. Then we look at the natural alternatives God has made available for the treating of this disease.
Cardiovascular Problems
Let’s say you go to a doctor for what is often referred to as an” annual check-up” and the doctor finds your blood pressure is elevated. What does the doctor say and what does the doctor want you to do about it?
Does the doctor say… “Mr. Jones, this high blood pressure can be very dangerous to your health and has the potential of producing some very serious problems if not lowered! Let’s see if we can’t find the cause of this high blood pressure – because if we can find the cause and eliminate that cause, we can lower these numbers naturally.”
Or rather does the doctor say… “Mr. Jones, your blood pressure is dangerously high! Here is a prescription for a drug that will hopefully lower your high blood pressure. I want you to have this prescription filled and taken as prescribed, and let’s make an appointment for a return visit in three months to see if your numbers are any lower.”
If you have been reading these Hallelujah Health Tips for very long, you have learned that this editor believes and teaches that every physical problem being experienced today has a cause! In fact the Bible tells us in Proverbs 26:2: “So the curse causeless shall not come.”
With regard to high blood pressure, there is a cause. And it’s not in the genes. It’s in the diet!
Sadly, most medical doctors (trained in medical schools subsidized by the drug industry) have not been trained to seek out the cause of a physical problem. Doctors have been trained that for every symptom there is a drug they can prescribe to subdue the symptom.
This approach is extremely profitable to the drug industry, but these toxic drugs have the potential of producing new health problems and serious side effects within the body of the person being prescribed that drug.
Drugs and Their Side Effects
Following are some of the drugs being prescribed today for high blood pressure:
Beta Blockers: Work to reduce blood pressure by blocking the effects of epinephrine on the heart. This causes the heart to slow down and makes the heart pump with less force, which reduces the force of the blood against the walls of the arteries. Potential side effects: dizziness, fatigue, difficulty sleeping, loss of sexual desire, depression, and more.
ACE Inhibitors: Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors reduce blood pressure by preventing angioterain-I from being converted into angiotensin-II. This relaxes blood vessels and reduces workload of the heart. Potential side effects: dry cough, headaches, diarrhea, dizziness, fatigue, fainting, jaundice, fever, vomiting, swelling, and more.
Diuretics: Excess fluid in the body can put pressure on the walls of the arteries, which causes an increase in blood pressure. Diuretics flush excess fluid and sodium from the body into the urine relieving pressure. Potential side effects: skin rash, increased cholesterol and/or blood sugar levels, gout, breast enlargement, impotence, and more.
What If Drugs Fail?
Anyone who has done the slightest research on the subject knows that the primary cause of high blood pressure is the fat found in the flesh and dairy of animal source foods – fat that has built up on the arterial walls, hindering the blood flow, causing the heart to have to pump harder to push the blood through these narrowed arteries.
If the cause of high blood pressure is the fat found in animal source foods narrowing the passage way of the blood, what makes more sense in dealing with the problem? (1) Take a toxic drug that can have adverse side effects and potentially create new physical problems? OR (2) Simply stop placing fat-laden animal flesh and dairy into the body?
If a person experiencing high blood pressure believes in the drug’s ability to correct the problem, they are sadly mistaken. Even if the blood pressure medication lowers their blood pressure, if they continue consuming fat-laden animal flesh and dairy, there is even greater potential dangers lurking ahead.
You see, lowering the blood pressure with a drug does not correct present nor prevent future cardiovascular problems. If fat-laden animal foods continue to be consumed, build up of fat on the arterial walls will continue and the doctor has no means of detecting this build up, no matter how healthy he says you or your heart are.
This continuing fat build up will increase the narrowing of the passage ways for the blood, and the next thing your doctor will tell you is that the blood flow in some part of your cardiovascular system is so severely restricted by this fat build-up, surgery is required. And the patient will hear words similar to these coming from their doctor:
“Mr. Jones we need to rush you into surgery and place a stent in that blockage to prop open the artery clogged with fat to allow the blood to flow more freely.”
And if the fat-laden animal source foods continue to be consumed, the doctor might say:
“Mr. Jones, we need to rush you into surgery because your artery is totally blocked. We need to do a by-pass.”
Don’t forget what God had to say about this medical approach to physical problems 2,000 years ago!
If you compare medical results 2,000 year ago with the results the medical community is achieving today, you will find that virtually no improvement has been made! This is the fact despite centuries of research and vast amounts of money spent.
“And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, and had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse.” (Mark 5:25-26)
After a quadruple by-pass in 2004, former president Bill Clinton learned in 2010 that these by-passed arteries were clogging up with fat. Rather than having further by-pass surgeries, he did some research. As a result, he opted for a diet free of fat-laden animal source foods. In effect, former president Bill Clinton became a vegan.
How To Lower Blood Pressure Without Drugs
The solution to high blood pressure or clogged arteries is not the taking of dangerous, toxic and expensive drugs nor stents to prop open clogged arteries, nor by-passes to by-pass clogged arteries.
The solution is to eliminate the CAUSE of high blood pressure – the fat-laden animal flesh and dairy foods in the diet.
Thousands of people who had experienced high blood pressure prior to adopting the animal fat-free, 100% plant-based Hallelujah Diet report that, after changing their diet and beginning an exercise program, their high blood pressure normalized… and they no longer have any need for their high blood pressure medication.
These same people also found that once they stopped placing animal fat into their body, the self-healing God programmed into their body was activated — this self-healing mechanism, without any outside assistance, began the process of removing the accumulated fat from the artery walls.
I will close by sharing just a few of the testimonies people have sent to me regarding their experience going the medical/drug route with their cardiovascular problems and what they experienced after eliminating the cause and adopting The Hallelujah Diet:
I just wanted to tell you what a blessing Hallelujah Acres has been to me and my health. Your diet and lifestyle has taken away my high blood pressure, arthritis and hay fever.
How sad it is that more people do not know about Hallelujah Acres or have an understanding of the dangers of the Standard American Diet (SAD) and the currently controlled government health care system.
My father was a medical doctor who lived to be 86 years of age. In all the years he practiced I never saw him take any medications. He prescribed them but didn’t take them.
Eating the SAD and then going to the doctor to get well is not the solution to the health problems of the people of this country – but eating and living the Hallelujah Way is! Rev. Malkmus, keep on keeping on! You have a wonderful ministry!
Mel R.
Rev. Malkmus, My husband had four by-passes and was placed on medication for high blood pressure and diabetes. My husband started The Hallelujah Recovery Diet. He also began walking 30 minutes each day.
Just four months after making the diet change, my husband’s blood pressure was in normal range (115/77) without medication. My husband and I always lift you and Hallelujah Acres up to our Lord and we thank you so very much for your ministry.

“On The Hallelujah Diet I have personally lost 100 pounds. Prior to the diet change I had heart problems, palpitations, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, severe back pain and lived on a muscle relaxer, severe monthly cycles, fatigue, racing heartbeat, swollen limbs, had trouble walking up stairs, had roller coaster emotions, low self-esteem, and the weirdest was a lump under my skin in the groin area. All of these symptoms have disappeared since going on The Hallelujah Diet!”

Conclusion
The only way to remove symptoms permanently is to remove the CAUSE of the symptom, and start nourishing the body with the nutrients it needs to rebuild its immune system and the cell structure of the body. Neither the medical establishment nor any drug is capable of restoring health. Only the body itself is capable of such endeavors.
Once the cause has been removed and the immune system rebuilt with good nutrition, the body’s self-healing mechanism (placed there by God) kicks in and the body literally heals itself in most instances, of whatever the physical problem is. HALLELUJAH!
Next week, the good Lord willing, we will explore non-toxic alternatives to the drugs, radiation and surgery offered to persons dealing with cancer. I trust you will join us for another exciting issue of the Hallelujah Health Tip.
A Little Change Can Do A Lot!
Jan 20th
I so appreciate the constant flow of testimonies, telling of improved health as a result of adopting The Hallelujah Diet. So many days they make my day! Please keep them coming — I read each one.
“Hi George, your Hallelujah Diet is the most awesome diet I have ever been on or read about. Please keep those Health Tips and magazines coming! They are great! Since adopting The Hallelujah Diet I have lost 14 pounds and feel better than I ever I have ever felt before.”
Barb W.
“Hello Rev. Malkmus, I recently was given a copy of your book ‘Why Christians Get Sick’ by my great-grandmother who wanted to make sure that I not only had the book but that I read it. She is over 100 years old and claims that the health principles contained in your book are responsible for her long life.
Well, I just read the book from beginning to end and am inspired to make some healthy changes. I am 36 years old and in pretty good health, but do have some physical and emotional problems that could use a little improving.
I agree with you wholeheartedly that most Americans need to consume more raw fruits and vegetables. Thank you for your dedication to health.”
Dawn L.
“My brother died of a massive heart attack at the age of 68. My sister, also in her late 60s, currently has lung cancer. I am also in my late 60s, but because of a change in diet and lifestyle have seen my physical problems go away.
I started out by following the teachings of Dr. Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn, and was following Dr. Esselstyn’s diet when I came upon The Hallelujah Diet. The results of making this diet change have been phenomenal! My cholesterol levels now range between 128 and 140, with my LDL (to the amazement of my doctor) is 42 and my HDL 48.
Before the diet change I was a diabetic and on insulin, but as a result of the diet change I have been able to throw away all diabetic medication and my A1C is 5.2, again, to the amazement of my doctor.
I am thrilled to have learned how I can protect myself against heart attack and stroke and make my body disease proof. Blessed be the name of the Lord who has chosen to reveal to me both spiritual life and physical health. Thank you for the work you are doing in helping so many and may God bless you and yours.”

“I have tremendous respect for your mission in life. My wife (who is battling cancer) and I spent five days at a Hallelujah Acres Lifestyle Center. I have a question: ‘I am 71 years old and in exceptional health. However, I take over 25 supplements each day. I need advice as to what supplements I should take in order to remain healthy. I’m sure this question is one many others have as well and would join with me in appreciating your response.”
Jim H.
EDITOR RESPONDS – The need for supplementation varies from one individual to another depending upon their diet and personal health situation. Most people on The Hallelujah Diet do not need aggressive supplementation.
Basic areas for consideration for most people include obtaining adequate B-12, Omega 3 fats (especially DHA), and Vitamin D3 (blood levels should be 60 ng/ml or higher). Enzymes would also be helpful when consuming cooked foods. Some folks, especially those who consume chlorinated water or have taken antibiotics (which destroy friendly bacteria) need probiotic supplementation to restore the friendly bacteria in the gut. BarleyMax is a fundamental component of the diet and is not considered a supplement because it is a whole living food.
Please remember that I am not a medical doctor and therefore cannot give medical advice.
What Does A Healthy Family Look Like?
Jan 11th
We are each the unique creation of God, designed to have offspring, which in turn become family:
“And God said, Let us make man in our image after our likeness . . . So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them . . . And God blessed them, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply . . .” (Genesis 1:26-28)
In this Health Tip I want you to take a good look at your family. Now I am not writing this to be critical or hurtful, but rather I am hoping that you will take the occasion to take a good look at the physical health of your family and see if you are pleased with what you see.
As we begin, I am going to ask a number of questions in an effort to help each of us evaluate whether our family is on a road that will lead to abundant health, or on a path that will lead to increasing physical break down and possibly an early and untimely death.
For some, this will not be an easy journey, and there are no doubt some that are already afraid to go any further in turning the spotlight on their own family. But friend, if we don’t take an honest look at where our family is physically the future health of our family can potentially be far worse than it is today.
What Is the Size of Your Family?
I am not looking for you to determine how many different people are in your family. What I am asking is “How BIG is each member of your family? How much do they weigh? What is the size of their waistline and hipline?
Statistics tell us that 63% of Americans are either overweight or obese. In recent years there has been an explosion in childhood obesity, while at the same time parents are experiencing ever expanding waistlines. Now please be honest with yourself and take a good look at your family – your spouse and children if you have any.
What Do You See?
Please be honest here by allowing an honest evaluation:
Dad – Does dad have a slim, trim, muscular body? Or is there a bulge at the waistline? I am appalled at the number of preachers who get up to preach on a Sunday Morning, standing in a pulpit proclaiming the Word of God, and being anything but a good representative of the Lord because of a protruding waistline that resembles a beer belly. But it is not just the preachers, but the average man in the average congregation as well.
Mother – What is the physical shape of mom? I’m not saying that she has to have that muscular body that dad should have, but she should have a slim and trim body without a bulging waistline, fat arms and thighs.
Children – What is the body mass of your children? Are they slim and trim and an object of perpetual motion as God designed them to be? Or are they overweight, sluggish, desiring rather to sit and watch television, play a video game, or sit at a computer than participating almost daily in a physically active sport?
Now that we have taken an honest evaluation of our family’s physical body size and shapes, what are the choices? (1) Ignore it. (2) Recognize the need and do nothing. (3) Recognize the need to do something and start down the road to correcting it.
(1) Ignore it – Friend, you can ignore it, but that will not make it go away or improve the condition. Rather, if you ignore it, the problem will only get worse over time, and eventually (if some of the symptoms are not already being manifested) produce some very serious health challenges and no doubt an early death. Are you willing to gamble with your family’s health?
(2) Recognize the need and do nothing – Your results are not going to be any better than that of the person who chooses to ignore what they see.
(3) Recognize the need and do something about it – “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.” (James 1:22-24)
We must commit and do our part to achieve victory!
The Bible warns us in Galatians 6:7, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man [or women] soweth, that shall he [or she] also reap.”
It doesn’t matter how spiritual we are or how much we pray and ask God to take something undesirable away. This will not solve the problem. We created the situation and it is up to each of us to resolve it. In other words, God will not do for us what we are not willing to do for ourselves or at least be a participant in.
Now God will certainly help us achieve our goals, but we have to initiate the effort and we have to be committed to its achievement. Here is what God promises us if we will make the commitment and start down that road to victory: “I CAN DO all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:23)
Consequences of Ignoring
We just read in Galatians 6:7 that “whatsoever a man [or woman] soweth, that shall he [or she] also reap.” This is an irreversible law, established by almighty God that warns of consequences when we ignore what is self-evident. So what are the consequences of ignoring the condition of excess weight or obesity?
Being overweight or obese can become a matter of life and death. People who are overweight are more likely to develop a number of potentially serious physical and even emotional problems, which increases the risk of an early and untimely death. Following are just a few of the risk factors of being overweight:
Heart Disease – The more weight a person is carrying over their ideal weight the greater their risk of an early death due to heart attack. These heart attacks are usually preceded by elevated blood pressure readings.
These elevated blood pressure readings are caused by fat accumulation on the arterial walls that requires the heart to pump harder in order to push the blood through the accumulated fat clinging to the arterial walls.
Recently, a 45-year old Baptist Pastor in our area dropped dead due to a massive heart attack. The average child is already showing fat build up on their arterial walls, while in the Vietnamese war, autopsies on deceased 20-year old soldiers revealed as much as 50% arterial blockage.
When traveling, Rhonda and I will often stop at a McDonald’s for a bathroom break and I am appalled at what I see – children eating burgers and fries. I heard what was meant to be a joke the other day that really wasn’t funny: “The quickest way to gain entrance to a cemetery is through the Golden Arches.” Sadly, this is a true statement!
If you haven’t already seen the video “Super Size Me” this is a must see. It chronicles a man who at nothing but McDonald’s food for 30 days and became seriously ill. (Please note: Although this movie provides a crucial lesson for diet and lifestyle, it is rated PG-13 by the Motion Picture Association of America for language, sex and drug references, and a graphic medical procedure. Viewer discretion is advised.)
Stroke – As with heart attacks, excess weight can play a significant role in creating conditions that set the stage for a stroke. As the fat accumulates in the arteries leading to the brain, it has the potential of shutting off the oxygen flow to the brain which leads to a stroke. This slow shut off of oxygen reaching the brain often contributes to a decline in mental abilities as a person ages.
Diabetes – As the number of overweight people continues to climb, so does the rate of diabetes. Excess fat makes the body resistant to insulin, and when the body is resistant to insulin, the cells are unable to get the energy they need. Diabetes used to be an adult problem, but today juvenile diabetes is sweeping the land.
There is a link between body weight and Type 2 diabetes. The link is the interaction of fat cells and insulin. The cells in the body need insulin to bring them glucose. But fat cells are resistant to insulin, leaving an unnecessarily high level of glucose in the bloodstream, thus not providing enough energy for the cells. Essentially, the fat is zapping energy and eventually the body becomes resistant to insulin.
Cancer – As the number of pounds a person carries increase, the potential for developing cancer proportionally increases. The New England Journal of Medicine published a study that concluded that virtually all forms of cancer are more prevalent in people with a higher body mass. Body mass wasn’t only linked to new cancer cases; it was also linked to cancer survival rates, which are lower for heavier people.
Sleep Apnea – The more overweight a person, the greater and more severe the potential for sleep apnea. We have received some wonderful testimonies from folks who, after losing weight through The Hallelujah Diet, reduced the need for their PAP machine until they were able to eliminate the machine entirely.
Back and Knee Strain – A regulation bowling ball weighs 16-pounds. If you were to take your overweight pounds and divide those pounds by 16, that is the number of bowling balls your body is carrying mainly around your waist. This extra weight places a tremendous strain on the body to support this extra weight, especially on the knees and back.
This extra weight leads to knee pain, disc problems, and back pain. These problems often lead to knee replacement, and back surgeries. And these surgeries usually follow years of doctor visits, drugs, and pain. All these, along with other problems that are related to carrying excess weight, are so unnecessary because a person allowed their body to put on those extra pounds.

Next week, if the good Lord is willing and the creeks don’t rise, we will offer some ways to resolve this excess weight issue, as we continue to deal with the subject: “What Does A Healthy Family Look Like?”
How to Reduce Your Potential for a Heart Attack By 97%
Aug 17th
On July 13, 2010, New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner died following a massive heart attack.
“Yankees owner George Steinbrenner dies at 80… He had just celebrated his 80th birthday July 4. Steinbrenner had a heart attack… and died at about 6:30 on July 13, 2010… Steinbrenner was in fragile health for years… Steinbrenner had fainted at a memorial service for NFL star Otto Graham in 2003, appeared weak in 2006… Still, the former Big Ten football coach took umbrage when others questioned his fitness. ‘No I did not have a stroke, I am not ill. I work out daily’ Steinbrenner said in 2006. ‘I’d like to see people who are saying that to come down here and do the workout that I do.”
George Steinbrenner was not the first, nor will he be the last American to die as a result of a heart attack or stroke. In fact, nearly 50% of all deaths in America today are due to a heart attack or a stroke.
In America, every 30 seconds someone has a heart attack. This results in approximately 1.5 million Americans suffering a heart attack or myocardial infarction (MI) each year, while nearly 500,000 of them die as a result. And these heart attacks and strokes are occurring at earlier and earlier ages.
Last week in Health Tip #664 I shared a letter from Evelyn, who wrote, “Rev. Malkmus, last night a relative passed away from a massive heart attack. He was only 39 years old.” My own dad suffered his first heart attack at age 42, and after suffering several additional mild heart attacks and strokes, died of a massive heart attack at age 65. Recently, I learned of a pastor who died of a massive heart attack at the age of 45.
Dr. Joel Fuhrman, a medical doctor, in his book Eat To Live, had the following to say regarding heart attacks.
“Every one of those heart attacks is a terrible tragedy, as it could have been avoided. So many people die needlessly because of wrong, weak, and practically worthless information from the government, physicians, dietitians, and even health authorities like the American Heart Association. Conventional guidelines are simply insufficient to offer real protection for those wanting to protect themselves from heart disease.”
“If you are an American over the age of forty, your chance of having atherosclerosis (hardening) of your blood vessels is over 95 percent. You may think, ‘Heart disease won’t happen to me!’ But I have news for you: It has already happened, and your chance of dying from a heart attack because of your atherosclerosis is about 50 percent. Your exercise program and your Americanized low-fat diet won’t help you much, either.”
“A Vegetarian Diet Can Prevent 97% Of Our Coronary Occlusions”
Can you guess where this quote was found? This is a quote from The Journal of the American Medical Association, Vol. 176, No. 9, dated June 3, 1961, page 806. Almost 50 years ago, the American Medical Association knew that a well planned vegetarian diet could prevent most heart attacks. Why hasn’t the public been made aware of this information?
Next, let me quote from John Robbins book Diet For A New America.
“We know today how to prevent heart attacks and strokes. We know how to prevent the killers that account for half of the deaths in the United States every year. But most of us, thanks to the dedicated endeavors of the meat, dairy and egg industries, have not gotten the good news.
“We still think we must eat animal products in order to be healthy. We still think heart attacks and strokes are a regrettable but more or less inevitable byproduct that comes with living well and growing old. The heart attack has become so much a part of American life as to virtually be an institution. We take heart attacks for granted. Few of us know that our passive attitude is perpetuated by the deliberate efforts of those who profit from our STAYING HOOKED ON THE FOODS THAT CAUSE HEART DISEASE.
“As long as we remain passive we cannot make the real choices that empower us. Although there are people who do not want us to make such choices and are willing to do almost anything to confuse us, we now have for the first time in history, sufficient knowledge to take control over our bodies and our lives. Now we can make food choices which we know will dramatically improve the health of our cardiovascular system and prevent heart disease and strokes.”
AVERAGE FOUR YEAR OLD ALREADY HAS PLAQUE BUILDUP IN ARTERIES
Today, the average four-year-old already has plaque buildup in their arteries, while 75% of children between the ages of four and eleven already have signs of heart disease. During the Vietnam War, autopsies on soldiers who died on the battlefield revealed many had a 50% blockage while one out of twenty men had so much plaque buildup that 90% of an artery was blocked.
Arterial Plaque buildup can be defined thusly: “an abnormal hardened deposit on the inner wall of an artery.” Arteries are the part of the human circulatory system that carries blood to and from the heart and into capillaries. Exchange of oxygen, nutrients, and waste material takes place across capillary walls.
The interior of arteries should be smooth and unobstructed, but as one ages, if they consume a diet high in animal fat, a sticky substance commonly called plaque can develop and build up on the interior arterial walls. This plaque is comprised of fatty acids, calcium, and fibrous connective tissue. Veins do not develop atherosclerosis, unless surgically moved to function as an artery, as in bypass surgery.
This plaque and fat buildup in the arteries is the cause of high blood pressure. It is the reason doctors tell patient they have to take high blood pressure medication to lower their blood pressure. This plaque and fat buildup is also the reason doctors tell patients they have need for emergency surgery in order to install stents and perform bi-passes. This plaque and fat buildup is also the cause of nearly half of all deaths in America.
WHERE DOES ALL OF THIS FAT AND PLAQUE COME FROM?
Friend, that buildup of fat and plaque in the arteries didn’t come from nowhere! Rather it was placed into the body by the person experiencing the buildup. This buildup comes from what a person eats and drinks! That’s right! All of the ingredients of that buildup in the arteries came from something the person put into their own body. They are simply reaping what they have sown.
And let me emphasize that this buildup has nothing whatsoever to do with genes. It has everything to do with what a person eats and drinks. We live in a day when those who haven’t a clue as to why a person develops a particular physical problem, in their ignorance, places blame on genes. But the culprit is not genes. It is diet.
The Bible implies in Proverbs 26:2 that this build up in the arteries did not just happen, but actually had a cause. Here is how the Bible explains it. “The curse causeless shall not come.”
In other words, the curse of the narrowing of those arteries by that fat and plaque buildup had a cause. Sadly, in today’s society, we do not seek out the cause of high blood pressure or that fat and plaque buildup, but rather deal exclusively with the symptom.
So the next time the doctor says, “I’m sorry friend, I have to give you a drug to lower or control your high blood pressure”, or the next time you have a pain in your chest and the doctor wants to rush you into by-pass surgery to give you new tubing to bypass the clogged artery, or stents to force open the artery blocked by fat, to allow more blood to flow in order to keep you alive, remember who created the condition.
But here is the good news! In most instances, you can eliminate the need for high blood pressure medicine, or even stent, or by-pass, by simply taking personal control and changing what you eat and drink. This puts you in control of the problem and not the doctor. Stop putting the animal fat into your body and the body will immediately set about removing that fat and plaque buildup on its own without doctor’s help.
The Bible explains how you got into this situation and how you can get out in Galatians 6:7: “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” In other words, the law of sowing and reaping can be a curse or a blessing. This gives you the ability to choose the end result.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU CHOOSE A CHEESEBURGER, FRY & SHAKE?
About an hour after you go to a fast-food restaurant and consume a cheeseburger, fry, and milk shake, if you were to have your blood drawn and placed in a glass test tube, and allowed to settle, it wouldn’t be long before you would see in the bottom of the test tube red blood and floating on the top of the blood you would see an inch or so of yellow and white fat.
Where did all that fat come from? Friend, it didn’t come from nowhere! Rather it came from the fat in the hamburger and the fat in the cheese, the fat in the milk shake, and the fat in the fries. Remember, we just learned that “the curse causeless shall not come.” Sadly, we have now introduced the curse into our body.
If you were to tilt the glass test tube, you would see the fat floating on the blood actually clings to the wall of the test tube. Most do not realize that every bit of fat they consume passes into the blood, but it doesn’t all pass out of the blood. Some of that left behind fat starts to slough off and build up on the arterial wall, thus restricting blood flow.
This causes the heart to have to pump harder in order to push the blood through that buildup of fat coating the arterial wall. This fat buildup is the cause the high blood pressure, for which the doctor prescribes a drug. Does the drug correct the cause of the high blood pressure or does the drug prevent the continued build up of fat on the arterial wall? No way!
Nor do by-pass surgery or stents correct the problem more than temporarily. For those who have these types of surgeries, if they continue to consume animal products containing animal fat, they will usually have additional need for stents or by-passes as the buildup continues and ultimately leads to a fatal heart attack or stroke.
Over time, this fat is joined with calcium and other minerals from the high mineral content of the ground water most people drink and the inorganic calcium found in many calcium supplements, and starts to mix with the fat and starts to harden the fat already lining the arterial walls. This mineral laden fat becomes plaque.
HOW TO REDUCE YOUR POTENTIAL FOR A HEART ATTACK BY 97%
Dr. T. Colin Campbell, PhD, Cornell University, author of The China Study had the following to say on pages 130-132 of his book.
“The future is filled with hope. We now know enough to nearly eliminate heart disease. We know not only how to prevent the disease, but how to successfully treat it. We do not need to crack open our breast plates to reroute our arteries, and we do not need a lifetime of powerful drugs in our blood. By eating the right food, we can keep our hearts healthy…
“Whether scientists, doctors and policy makers think the public will change or not, the layperson must be aware that a whole foods, plant-based diet is far and away the healthiest diet. In the seminal paper regarding the landmark Lifestyle Heart Trial, the authors, Dr. Ornish and his scientific colleagues, write: ‘The point of our study was to determine what is true, not what is practicable.’
“We now know what is true: a whole food, plant-based diet can prevent and treat heart disease, saving hundreds of thousands of Americans every year. . . . Now is the time of great hope and challenge, a time when people can control their health. . . .”
Dr. Joel Fuhrman, author of Eat To Live, concludes:
“The ideal diet for heart disease reversal is free of saturated fat, Tran’s fat, and cholesterol; and rich in nutrients and fiber; and low in calories. . . . Chicken is almost as dangerous for the heart as red meat; switching from red meat to white meat does not lower cholesterol sufficiently and does not contain adequate heart-protective factors. . . . Numerous studies have documented that heart disease is reversible for the majority of patients following a vegetarian diet.”
HALLELUJAH ACRES DIET AND LIFESTYLE TO THE RESCUE
For nearly 20 years, Hallelujah Acres has been sharing with everyone who would listen, a diet that would prevent 97% of all heart attacks and strokes. How could a diet do this? By eliminating the “curse”, the consumption of animal flesh and dairy, which is the cause!
The Hallelujah Acres Diet contains zero animal fat. In place of the meat and dairy, which contains that animal fat that cause the heart attacks and strokes, is a 100% plant based diet. This is the very diet Dr. Campbell promotes when he says “a whole food, plant-based diet can prevent and treat heart disease, saving hundreds of thousands of Americans every year.”
As I conclude this article, let me share where the diet we proclaim here at Hallelujah Acres came from.
It came from God! This diet is found in the Bible in Genesis 1:29. This was the diet God gave that very first human, Adam, immediately after God had created him. It was comprised of 100% plant foods and contained zero animal fat. The Hallelujah Acres diet which we have been proclaiming for the past 20 years and the diet promoted by Dr. Campbell, Dr. Fuhrman, and John Robbins is very similar to the Genesis 1:29 diet.
Might it be that God was and is far wiser than we humans? I personally listened to God and adopted the same diet God gave Adam almost 35 years ago and have already outlived my dad by over 10 years. Dad died of a massive heart attack at age 65. I will be 77 on my next birthday. If the cause of a heart attack is in the genes, I should have been dead years ago. Instead, today, I have a lean, muscular, physical body capable of doing anything physically I could do at the age of 20.
