On March 23, 2010, President Barak Obama signed into law the Senate’s version of the Health Care Reform bill.

The legislation was brought to the President’s desk for signature following the bill’s passage in the House of Representatives by a vote of 219 – 212. It is worth noting that this bill passed after a clear majority of the American people had voiced opposition to its passage. The only ones exempted from this bill are the President, Vice-President and congress.

While some are rejoicing over the passage of this bill, thinking it is going to solve all health care problems, provide health insurance coverage for 32 million additional Americans, cover pre-existing conditions, prevent insurance companies from dropping their coverage, lower health care costs, and improve the health of the American people .

Others believe that this bill has absolutely nothing to do with improving the health of the American people. Rather they believe it forces every citizen, the majority against their will, into a government controlled health care system that will restrict freedoms, create a new government entitlement program, ultimately drive insurance companies out of business while bringing additional revenue to the drug industry — the very industry proponents of this bill say they are against — and eventually bankrupting our once great nation.

THIS NEW BILL HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH REFORMING HEALTH CARE

Then there are those like conservative talk show hosts Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, who say that before the passage of the recent Health Care Reform bill Americans had the best Health Care system in the world. Following is the reason why I disagree with these conservative talk show hosts.

The Health Care being offered the American people prior to the passage of this new Health Care Reform legislation has never in history healed anyone of anything, because it has always dealt with the symptomatic approach to physical problems rather than determining the cause of physical problems and then eliminating that cause and thus the problem.

For a few minutes, let’s take a look at how some of the most prevalent health conditions have been dealt with in the past and how they will continue to be dealt with in the future under this new Health Care Reform legislation.

CANCER – Prior to the passage of this bill how did the medical community treat cancer? Was it not with the use of dangerous chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery – modalities that are not only extremely expensive, and that exacerbate the problem, but cause needless suffering and eventually the unnecessary and untimely death of multitudes? Most of those who die following cancer treatment die from the treatment and not the cancer.

Will this new Health Care Reform legislation change the way the medical community treats cancer or change the outcome? Absolutely not! Rather it will continue to treat people with cancer using the same extremely expensive modalities of chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery that have already proven to be a failure and that cause needless suffering and eventually the unnecessary and untimely death of multitudes.

HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE & CLOGGED ARTERIES – Prior to the passage of this bill how did the medical community treat high blood pressure and clogged arteries? Was it not with drugs, by-pass surgeries, and stints? Have these treatments ever cured anyone of the problem, or rather did treatment require the person continue the drugs the rest of their life, have additional surgeries for new blockages, and after receiving all these treatments die prematurely of a heart attack or stroke?

Will this new Health Care Reform legislation change the way the medical community treats high blood pressure and clogged arteries? Absolutely not! Rather they will continue to use the same expensive drugs and surgeries that have already proven a failure.

DIABETES – Prior to the passage of this bill how did the medical community treat diabetes? Was it not with insulin, additional drugs, and the recommendation of a high protein diet that exacerbated the problem and led to neuropathy, eyesight and limb loss and an early death!  All being temporary fixes that only dealt with the symptom and not the cause while never removing the problem!

Will this new HealthCare Reform legislation change the way the medical community treats diabetes? Absolutely not! Rather they will continue to use the same insulin, expensive drugs and surgeries that have never cured anyone of the problem and have already proven to be a failure.

I could go on and on with the listing of physical problems that in the past were treated by the medical community with expensive and dangerous drugs, radiation, and surgeries while the health of the American people only continued to deteriorate under the best care and modalities the medical community had to offer.

Passage of this new Health Care Reform bill will only guarantee another generation of pain and suffering at the hands of a medical system that has for the past 2,000 years already proven to be a failure. Listen to what the Bible has to say about how physical problems were dealt with in and since those days, and will continue to be dealt with under this new Health Care Reform legislation:

“And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered but rather grew worse.” (Mark 5:25-26)

Before the Reform bill’s passage, Americans were spending nearly THREE TRILLION dollars annually on health care while the American people, in spite of this huge expenditure, saw their health continue to deteriorate. After spending all this money on so-called health care, and additional billions on research, there has been no improvement in the health of the American people in decades. Actually it has deteriorated.

Surely bringing 62 MILLION MORE people into a system that has already proven to be such an expensive and dismal failure, and adding an additional TRILLION dollars to the cost of health care (which this Health Care Reform bill does) cannot and will not improve the health of the American people! Rather it will bring ever greater amounts of money into the health (disease) care industry.

AND THE AMERICAN PEOPLE DO NOT EVEN HAVE A CHOICE

Once this bill is implemented, it will be the very first time in our country’s history that American’s will be forced to purchase something, whether they want it or not, or have need of or not. This government mandate that everyone purchase health insurance is a clear violation of the Constitution of these United States and is currently being challenged in the courts by 14 state attorneys general.

And while everyone is being forced into a failed “health care” system, this Health Care Reform legislation disallows any monies for solutions that have already proven to work successfully in preventing sickness and restoring people to health through natural and non toxic and non life-threatening means.

Nor will those who maintain their health through a healthy diet and lifestyle be rewarded for taking care of their own physical bodies. Rather the healthy individuals will be forced to pay into a failed disease care system that will require them to pay for the health costs of those who do not take care of their health through a healthy diet and lifestyle.

Americans do not need more drugs, more chemotherapy, more radiation or more surgeries. Nor do they need more vaccines, mammograms or pap smears, more colonoscopies, more prostate screenings, more screenings for lung cancer, etc.

These and other screenings and tests only bring more people into a failed system that will continue to lead uninformed citizens into deteriorating health and an unnecessary and early demise. These screenings and tests are the feeder system into the medical system, because these tests and screenings almost always result in the finding of new problems.

I LOVE MY GOD AND I LOVE MY COUNTRY

This editor is a Christian, a patriot, and a citizen of these United States of America who was raised to love God and Country. I remember well the day the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 (I was 7 years old at the time), and how the citizens of our country rallied to defend our nation and defeat the Japanese and Germans. Family members gave their lives in defense of this great Nation.

I remember as a boy the tears of pride running down my cheeks as the marching band played the Star Spangled Banner. I remember how as a young man I went off to war during the Korean conflict, and how devastated I was when years later, leaders in our own government tied the hands of our military, preventing victory over the communists during the Vietnam War.

I remember how as a young pastor I warned in numerous sermons of the evils of Communism, and how thrilled I was when President Ronald Reagan stood up boldly against the communists, when standing at the Berlin wall said, “Mr. Gorbachev, Tear down this wall.”

I was so proud that we finally had a president that would stand against the tyrants of this world and stand up for America and its historic ideals and values. And what a thrill it was when, as a result of President Reagan’s bold stand, Communism fell!

ONLY INFORMED AMERICANS CAN RESTORE THIS ONCE GREAT NATION

What our country desperately needs is an awakening of the people to the true cause of the problems our nation faces. Regarding our health, America needs a HEALTH REVOLUTION. A revolution that offers an alternative to an industry that government currently protects and is forcing everyone into, a system that depends on sickness and disease for its absurd profits and power over the people.

In its place we need to make a new system based on a wellness model available to the American people – a system that promotes natural healing through quality nutrition, abundant sunshine and exercise, and personal responsibility. This system, if adopted, would slash health care costs because the only need for the medical community would be for the fixing of bodies that have been broken by accident. This system would place our nation on a new and exciting path leading to freedom, health, and prosperity.

Hallelujah Acres offers such a model. For 18 years, we have proven there is a better way of dealing with physical problems. God had it right when He placed man in a garden and gave mankind the diet that would sustain life and produce a healthy physical body free of sickness. In was only after man left that garden and started consuming foods not found in the garden that sickness entered this world. Ever since leaving the garden, man has been trying to fix the physical problems caused by leaving the garden foods with all kinds of worldly fixes that have never worked.

ISN’T IT ABOUT TIME WE WENT BACK TO THE GARDEN TO OBTAIN OUR HEALTH?

Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, attempted to show man the right way to restoring health without drugs when he spoke these words over 2,000 years ago:

“Let food be thy medicine and medicine by thy food.”

“Do thy patient no harm.”

“AND GOD SAID, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat (FOOD).” (Genesis 1:29)

These words were spoken by God to Adam 6,000 years ago immediately after He had created him.  Friends, who would know better what was proper nourishment for the human physical body than the Creator of that body? Most of our physical problems are caused by eating the world’s diet and taking the world’s drugs, and can only be corrected by returning to God’s diet. AMEN!
