I Don’t Want Rev. Malkmus To Get In Trouble With God!
Nov 12th
“Please tell Rev. Malkmus that I really appreciate his encouragement for healthy living. I’m sure he knows that God can and does heal miraculously without special diets. I know of several instances where this has happened. In his talks and writings maybe he does include this fact. However, it is good for people to know that God is Almighty and powerful and we should acknowledge that along with encouraging healthy living. Please pass this info along to him. I don’t want Rev. Malkmus to get in trouble with God by not giving God the honor due Him for His greatness. We can do our best to live healthfully but it is good to put more emphasis on the power of our awesome heavenly Father to heal.”

Hi Kay, Thank you so much for writing and for your kind and encouraging words. And I agree with you that God is capable of and does sometimes heal miraculously – but not very often. I say “not very often” as evidenced by the numerous prayers for healing that go unanswered following abundant prayer within our churches.
If we were only more successful in getting Christians to change their diets and eat the foods God told them they should eat in Genesis 1:29, they wouldn’t have to experience all the physical problems they ask God to heal them from.
Sadly, too many Christians, when they get sick, want God to miraculously heal them without any participation on their part.
The Bible tells us in Galatians 6:7 that we are going to reap what we sow! God’s law of sowing and reaping works positively when we eat correctly and negatively when we eat incorrectly — Christian or non-Christian alike.
I do not believe that God designed us to get sick in the first place. When we do get sick it is the result of not obeying God’s instructions as to how we should nourish the bodies He created.
He gave us clear instructions as to what foods we should nourish our bodies with, in the very first chapter of the Bible – In Genesis 1:29.
Clear evidence that we reap what we sow is revealed when a person gets well when they change their diet from the “world’s SAD diet” to “GOD’s Genesis 1:29 diet.”
I further believe that all healing comes from God. It is a combination of the healing power God placed in the foods we eat and the healing power within our own bodies — both of which He created.
For sure Kay, we at Hallelujah Acres do not leave God out of the healing equation. A careful review of my writings will reveal that it is to God I give all the glory when a sick Christian gets well from eating GOD’s diet.
The World’s Diet Is Dangerously Low In Fiber
Nov 8th
In recent Health Tips we have learned that in order to properly digest food, the food must contain fiber. The foods most consume today are lacking in fiber, and when we consume foods lacking in fiber, physical problems manifest.
Fiber — An Absolute Necessity For Proper Digestion
Garden source foods are the only foods on planet earth that contain FIBER!
This means that any food that comes from any source outside of the garden is a food devoid of FIBER.
Animal source foods are completely devoid of fiber. This, along with other factors, makes animal source foods a major cause of the digestive and colon problems so many people suffer with today.
For years there has been a number of writers promoting a “low carb, high protein” diet. This type of diet is high in animal flesh (which is totally devoid of fiber) and low in carbohydrates (which are high in fiber).
A major reason why these diets are so dangerous is because they are seriously lacking in fiber.
Refined Carbohydrates Contain No Fiber
Another “food” consumed by most people in very large quantities today is refined carbohydrates — which are also devoid of fiber.
Refined carbohydrates, because they are devoid of fiber, are more than just another cause of constipation. They are a burden on the liver and intestines and increase the risk of chronic disease.
God’s plan for the proper digestion of foods requires fiber, but both refined carbohydrates and animal source foods are devoid of fiber.
Once a person understands this fact, it helps them understand what foods they must consume to promote good health and what foods cause their health to decline.
It is interesting to note that low carb diets cite carbohydrates for today’s obesity epidemic.
Yet when we look at the history of mankind, we learn that for almost 6,000 years people have thrived on a high carbohydrate, low protein diet — and most were NOT overweight!
Here’s why: Until recently most people in the world nourished their bodies with UNREFINED carbohydrates – not with refined carbohydrates.
What has changed?
Why are 60% of Americans overweight and an ever increasing number of our youth diagnosed as “obese”?
The problem is NOT naturally occurring, unrefined carbohydrates (which contain loads of plant fiber), but rather REFINED carbohydrates — which contain virtually NO fiber.
For example, a grain of wheat is an unrefined carbohydrate, while “enriched” flour made from that grain of wheat (which has had its fiber removed) is a refined carbohydrate.
What’s the difference?
- Unrefined carbohydrates are vitally important in meeting the nutritional and fiber needs of our bodies.
- Refined carbohydrates are devastating to our body, causing myriad physical breakdowns.
Over 60% Of Americans Are Overweight
Today, what is one of the primary concerns people have regarding their physical bodies?
Is it not concern over being overweight?
And what products are constantly being advertised to combat this problem? Are they not weight loss products claiming to help a person lose that excess weight?
Overweight and obese people are vulnerable targets for health care fraud because a high percentage of the people in our country are desperate to lose weight.
So when “low carb, high protein” diets came on the scene telling Americans that they could eat all the protein and cholesterol they wanted and lose weight, many jumped on the bandwagon.
Sadly, these weight loss plans trashed an entire food group. But of even greater importance, they trashed the diet God told man he should consume in Genesis 1:29, the blueprint for The Hallelujah Diet.
That fact alone should have triggered a huge red flag because the Genesis 1:29 diet is high in carbohydrates and low in protein.
Ask yourself… does God know best with regard to how man should nourish his body?
Or is it man’s job to know best?
Low Carbohydrate Diets And Science
Science reveals that a high fiber diet of complex, unrefined carbohydrates and low protein is the safest choice for long-term health.
By contrast, The World Health Organization, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, and American Dietetic Association, all warn of the long-term risks of a low-carb, high protein diet.
Those who promote a low-carb diet claim that carbohydrates raise blood sugar levels and thus insulin levels. They then go on to claim that elevated insulin levels trigger the storage of fat. Thus they conclude that it is carbohydrates that make people fat.
What they fail to reveal is that it is the REFINED carbohydrates that are the culprit here and not the unrefined.
The results of many years of well documented research reveal the huge benefits of a plant-based diet of unrefined carbohydrates that is low saturated fat diet.
In addition, scientists have abundant evidence showing that the time proven, plant-based diets of large population groups also prevent disease while increasing life span.
Ever Since Adam And Eve
Ever since God gave Adam and Eve the original high carbohydrate/low protein, plant-based diet in Genesis 1:29, most of the world’s population has relied primarily on plant foods for the bulk of their diet.
Carbohydrates such as fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, grains, beans, and legumes have formed the foundation of the traditional diets for most regions of the world.
Sadly, over the past couple of decades, due to the strong influence of the United States on the world, many who once consumed these traditional diets have adopted our standard American diet (SAD) of highly refined carbohydrates and high protein. Doing so has resulted in a serious erosion of health around the world.
Today we see a dramatic increase in obesity and death rates due to heart disease and cancer in many countries of the world, just as it has and continues to produce in the United States.
Here’s the truth of the matter…
If the body does not receive sufficient carbohydrates, it will convert protein and/or fat into glucose (a carbohydrate), to meet its carbohydrate needs.
So why not get your carbs from the plant?! Especially when getting them from animal source foods comes with a lot of negative baggage.
Not All Carbohydrates Are Created Equal
A good example of a good carb and a bad carb would be a potato and a French fry. Here, food processors have turned a heart healthy unrefined carbohydrate (the unprocessed potato) into an artery clogging French fry.
Research scientists at Harvard University have discovered that individuals who eat a diet high in unrefined carbohydrates significantly decrease their risk of diabetes and heart disease – while individuals who eat a diet high in refined carbohydrates more than double their risk of heart disease.
How To Tell A Good Carb From A Bad One
If a carbohydrate comes packaged as nature produced it – it is a good carbohydrate. You can be assured it is safe and good for you! All plant source foods in their natural state are good carbohydrates.
If a carbohydrate is packaged by man, it is a bad carb. Bad carbohydrates include those foods that are refined, fried in fat, dipped in sugar, or have had refined sugar or other artificial ingredients added.
Sickness Is Not God’s Will For His People
The world’s diet is a dangerous diet because it is lacking in fiber and the nutrients the body needs to build and protect our health, while GOD’s diet is loaded with fiber and provides the nutrients the body needs to produce optimal health and protect it from disease.
Sickness is not “God’s will” for his people. (3 John 2)
By consuming the world’s diet we not only destroy our health, but spend huge amounts of money in an effort to restore the health that was destroyed by consuming the world’s diet.
There is a better way than the world’s way of nourishing our God created physical bodies.
That way is God’s way as clearly outlined in Genesis 1:29. AMEN!
Next week…
The good Lord willing and if the creeks don’t rise too high, we will explore another item that is consumed in large quantities by the average person on the world’s diet that is also devoid of fiber. Trust you will join us next week!
French Documentary Crew Films Saturday Seminar
Nov 7th
Our “God’s Way to Ultimate Health” seminar this past Saturday at Hallelujah Acres was an exciting event!
The auditorium was nearly full with people coming from 14 different states and four foreign countries. They came from as far away as California and Washington in the U.S. to Poland, Nigeria, Guatemala, and France.
Our French guests consisted of a reporter and cameraman. The videotape footage will be used for a one-hour television documentary that explores the link between food and health and compares The Hallelujah Diet with other popular diets for loss of weight.
To the best of the producer’s knowledge, there is not a diet similar to The Hallelujah Diet in all of France!
The crew followed Rev. Malkmus’ every move throughout the seminar (they could hardly keep up!) and captured dozens of testimonies from people who had seen physical problems disappear after they had adopted The Hallelujah Diet.
Throughout the seminar the people gathered were challenged to “eat to live” and to stop “living to eat,” a sentiment met with a standing ovation!
While Rev. Malkmus spoke with guests after the seminar, the film crew conducted one-on-one interviews with those who had experienced significant weight loss on The Hallelujah Diet.
These one-on-one interviews will go a long way in convincing the French people that The Hallelujah Diet is the simplest, healthiest weight-loss program in the world!
The film crew also gathered some footage of The Villages of Hallelujah Acres, including interview with some excited residents who had just moved in!
Our next “God’s Way to Ultimate Health” seminar is scheduled for Saturday, December 3. Though we will not have the French camera crew with us, it will be an exciting time as people learn God’s way of nourishing our bodies through simple diet and lifestyle changes.
Make plans to attend.
Thinking Outside The (Medicine) Box
Nov 3rd
When Rhonda and I started Hallelujah Acres in that little 11-foot-wide store front on February 12, 1992, our message “You Don’t Have to Be Sick” was mocked and ridiculed by most in the Christian community. It is exciting today to know that our efforts for nearly 20 years are now bringing health and healing as evidenced by these testimonies:
“Dear George: Thank you for allowing God to use you. I love the way you say things that others are afraid to say in your Health Tips – Such as “How Prayer Can Hinder the Healing of God’s People” and “How Churches Promote ill Health”.
I love how you think outside of the box of conventional medicine.
Thank you for allowing God to use you in this way. God bless you in your (His) ministry.”
Linda C., Missouri
“I just want to tell anybody who doubts the Hallelujah Acres message of “You Don’t Have to be Sick” that you need doubt it no more. My husband and I began to get serious about our health by adopting The Hallelujah Diet in April 2011 and as a result my husband is no longer diabetic.
In six months his blood sugar has dropped from over 300 to under 120 and he no longer has to take any medicine to control his blood/sugar levels. His doctor is even impressed.
Rev. Malkmus, we thank you for your inspired teachings. You are doing such a wonderful work.”

“Hi Rhonda and George, First let me say I was completely blessed by the Women’s Retreat two weeks ago. Such powerful speakers, I learned so much and hope to attend the next one in 2012. We are preparing to go to Haiti for our next missionary trip. Yesterday as we were packing up to go I tripped over a cement rise and flew forward grabbing a table to break the fall. The problem was that the table was not secured to the ground and I continued my flight hitting the cement patio bouncing twice on my right hip and landing flat on my back which is fused on one side and I have severe scoliosis.
My praise report is that though most people, especially women who fall in my age category (77) always break a hip – but I am here to say that there are no broken bones thanks to God’s Hallelujah Diet.
I got up this morning a little sore, and proceeded to sing praises to our Lord in the praise and worship team at church. God is so goooooodddd!”
Missionary and Hallelujah Acres Health Minister Carla C., Florida
“Five years ago I was diagnosed with lupus and was very sick. I really thought that my life was going to go downhill from that point on as I did a lot of research on the disease and for everyone with this disease it seems to just snowball and get worse and worse until they finally die of some kind of complication. Also I learned that lupus patients are very highly medicated.
I decided that instead of going the medical route I would try The Hallelujah Diet of juicing carrots and eating an 85% raw 15% plant based diet. I was only three days into the diet when I began to gain energy I hadn’t had in years. I continued to get better and better – and really, in three months into it, was pretty much healed of the disease.
I had no idea that a person could feel so good. I felt and still do feel better than I can ever remember feeling even as a teenager.
I am now 48 years old. I also lost 25 pounds which was a nice plus. I completely, 100%, recommend this diet to everyone – especially if you are sick.
Yes, it is a lifestyle change but if you really love life and want to live it to its fullest, you need to give it a try.”
Maria A., Nebraska
“The Hallelujah Diet is not an easy diet to follow, but the benefits are remarkable. You feel better than you have ever felt and the foods you eat are satisfying. I don’t get hungry or want to binge anymore and I am off sugar, meat, refined flour, dairy etc.
Not only do I feel better, but I have peace of mind. I will shortly be getting off of my cholesterol medicine. My goal is to get of my diabetes medicine and blood pressure medicine.
I am under a doctor’s care, but I found out the both my doctor and his wife are on the diet as well.”

Help! My 12-Year-Old Son Weighs Over 200 Pounds
Oct 29th
“Hello George, My son is 12 years old and weighs over 200 pounds. I am extremely worried about him and his health.
I have taken him to see a doctor because of concern over his blood pressure which averages around 150/85. I realize this is way too high, especially for a child, and have been trying to be an inspiration to him by setting an example by going on The Hallelujah Diet.
But I am finding it difficult to help my son because my husband is setting a very bad example by consuming a diet that is high in animal fat and sugar, and my husband is extremely overweight and never exercises.
My son eats well when he and I are together but reverts to bad food choices when he is with his father.
I have started him on an exercise program with a personal trainer and his blood pressure comes down with exercise but this trainer wants to put him on a low glycemic diet.
The trainer wants me to take him off the raw vegetable juice of carrot/kale/celery/cucumber juice I have been giving him each morning because it contains carrot juice which he says is high on the glycemic scale.
My husband agrees with the trainer, but I am convinced that the juice is doing much more good than bad.
I realize that if my son does not lose a lot of weight he is going to develop some extremely serious health issues. What can I do to help my son? Please advise.”

Editor Responds – My heart goes out to you and all the women who are trying to improve their own health, the health of their children, or even their husband’s health when the husband refuses to cooperate. And then there are the times when the husband is the one trying to lead the family to better health and the wife will not cooperate.
This situation can be most frustrating and there is no easy answer.
First, I would suggest prayer.
Second, I would suggest you set the example by eating a plant based diet and exercising daily.
Third, I would try and get your husband to read some information alerting him on the potential to the serious physical consequences that await your son if his obese condition is not dealt with and soon. Fortunately you have a son who appears to want to help his own obese condition because he is willing to drink the juices you have been providing him and he is willing to exercise.
Now regarding the removal of carrot juice from his diet because of a high glycemic index…
Some years ago, our own Dr. Michael Donaldson did some research on the glycemic index of carrot juice and observed some very interesting findings:
- To one group of people he gave a 50-gram carbohydrate serving of homemade whole wheat bread.
- To another group he gave a 14.5 ounce glass of carrot juice.
- To the third group he gave a 14.5-ounce glass of carrot juice with 30 grams of Udo’s oil.
The group consuming the bread experienced a higher glycemic response than the group consuming carrot juice.
The group consuming carrot juice with Udo’s oil experienced less of a glycemic response than either of the other groups.
But there was something else interesting about the results. The whole wheat bread group experienced not only a greater increase in blood glucose, but sustained that increase for a longer period of time.
The juice you are providing your son comprised of carrot/kale/celery/cucumber is a much lower glycemic juice than pure carrot juice and significantly lower than that of bread.
The juice also provides him with a wealth of benefits – it will aid his weight loss and give his body the nutrients it so desperately needs to help restore his body to health and prevent further deterioration.
Vegetable juice drinks without carrot can be quite bitter; many find them objectionable. Adding carrot (which is only 16% sugar by the way) makes the juice very palatable — and carrots are loaded with nutrients.
A good balance in juicing would be to make 50% of your juice veggies other than carrot and the remaining 50% carrot juice. You and your son (yes your husband especially) are in my prayers.
EDITOR’S NOTE – You can access our complete blood glucose study here. It is also very important to realize that this study used 14.5 ounces of juice while the recommended serving size is only 8 ounces on The Hallelujah Diet!
