Hearty Split Pea Soup

Well, I’m not a prophet, but I sure was right when I said “January in most areas of the United States is the coldest month of the year,” because most of the central and eastern parts of the U.S. have been in the deep freeze in recent weeks.
And talk about Global Warming – Why friends, Global Warming is one of the biggest hoaxes ever perpetrated upon not only the American people but on most of the nations of the world. If we have anything, we have Global Cooling! (See my article titled “Scientists Say Global Warming Just Isn’t So”.)
So since it is still winter and still cold in most of the United States, let’s enjoy another heart healthy and body warming soup this week.
There is just something warming and comforting about a home-made bowl of a vegetarian soup on a cold winters evening and this split pea soup should fill the bill, and by the way, split peas are very inexpensive, thus making a very economical meal. Full Recipe
Hearty Lentil Soup

Since the month of January in most areas of the United States is the coldest month of the year, let’s feature for the rest of this month, some nice hearty and warming soups. And yes, these soups will be cooked, but let’s also remember that The Hallelujah Diet includes 15% cooked foods.
For this first week of January, I will share the recipe for a Hearty Lentil Soup, but I trust that our readers will send me their favorite soup recipes to share in the remaining weeks of the month. Sweet Potato Casserole (This recipe can be found on Page 128) While most of the recipes we share here are raw, we do on occasion share a cooked recipe. This recipe is a cooked one and very delicious. With the Thanksgiving and Christmas just around the corner, we’re sharing Holiday recipes until the end of the year. Ingredients
- 7 Ounces Of Carrot Juice
- ½ Sweet Red Pepper (Juice From)
- ¼ Inch Piece Of Gingerroot (or to Taste)
- 3 Sprigs Of Parsley
Instructions
Cut apple in wedges and feed through juicer along with carrots, ginger, and parsley. Recipe is for one serving. Multiply ingredients for each additional person. ENJOY!
*Organic ingredients are always recommended.
